BAF is free but its the low res "nintendo" type graphics/textures. best to buy it to get teh proper version
 
Get the BAF DLC,its 7 quid and looks great then get online - dont f*ck about with the campaign because no one plays that ( unless you're getting used to the game).
Domination is the top MP game just now.This is as good as combat sims get and thats it.

This game looks like my cup of tea but before buying are there any decent clans out there for newbies to the game? (just thought ill ask in this thread)
 
Called me stupid but i have no clue how to build stuff in warfare mode when i am the commander lol

Do i need to be close to some thing or have i missed a button to bring up the build interface ?

Dunno mate, havnt played warefare for about a year.
Had a ded server and that all everyone ever played on it - try the middle mouse options,I'm sure its amongst those.
 
Yeah i had a look at the mouse button options i can seem give money i think but no option at all to bring up a build menu i will take a screen shot of the options i get.

Just had a game and when i was commander i had no options at all using the mouse buttons or mouse wheel :(

I did have the high command controls and can move troops on the map screen thats it lol

Am playing/enjoying the BAF campaign and liking some of the humour put in (there are obviously some Brits advising). Especially the engineer (don't wish to spoil it). Obviously online is where its at and there are a lot of coop missions appearing on Armaholic etc..

I know what you mean about the voice acting - "second para" lol.

Wow Operation Arrowhead does look great! I picked this up the other day and have been pleasantly surprised. My only gripe is that as with ArmA 2 the public multiplayer scene sucks imho! I guess I'm gonna have to go sign up for Operation Reality ( http://operationreality.org || http://blog.operationreality.org ) private milsim team or something similar to get the most out of the online multiplayer experience. Either way, nice to see such a large interest in this game on these overclcokers forum. See you boys on the battlefield! :)

Yep ARMA2 is where its at I play nothing else tbh I love it.

Maybe we can hook up and have a blast one day :) I intend to play tonight but we will see :(
 
Long time OFP player who just got his new pc so finally I can try arma2 :D

With some different ones out like operation arrowhead etc which ones do I buy? Origina arma 2? or arrowhead? or just get the lot?
 
I mentioned earlier in this thread I was having trouble connecting to servers, ARMA 2 1.07 patch

Well I now know why, the servers I was trying to connect to were ACE servers, and I didnt have ACE installed at the time.

Thats all sorted now, simples.
