Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead

got CO and BAF the other day in the steam sales. I tried the demo a few months ago and found it too fiddly to get into. This time, i just went straight into the BAF campaign. Bloody hard, even on recruit :/

however, i think this has serious potential to be the replacement for my bf2 addiction

join a clan to get the best out of it. this is a masterpiece of a game imo and the best FPS game ever.

Some masterpieces take time and dedication in order to appreciate it and this is one of those games

meh, im usually a lone wolf but i might give it a go. Wanna get the hang of the basics first. And by basics i mean actually getting a herc to takeoff without stalling on the showcase map...

I really wanna buy the stem deal of Operation Arrowhead today but only have a retail copy of ARMA2... OA says it integrates with ARMA2.... will this be a problem with 1 steam version and a retail version?? ?? (PS: I understand OA is standalone)

yea their may be issues as if u want to intergate both, they have to be both on steam i think

If you have any steam problems we'll also sort those out for you, usually via teamviewer. Be advised we are a realism group and can be a little hardcore at times, so if you don't have patience it might be better to find another group, not so say we don't have fun though.

As for integrating steam / normal retail, it's quite an easy process so don't worry about it too much... Once it's done it's done.

It works fine as long as you use a special method provided by BIS. As Rexehs says hop on TS on we will get you sorted.

They dont in this country, usa is very competetive though. Seems Im good so long as I give a usa address, since its a download anyway its not relevant

Yeah good idea. I guess it uses the cloud so we might see it in the UK soon enough. Its certainly better than being stuck with all the Steam garbage, plus it might be cheaper.

I can usually get away with loning on project reality, as long as i leech off the occasional squad...

still, multiplayer makes my head hurt
