Try deleting:

Documents/My Documents> Arma 3> Arma3.cfg

Then running the game.

This will remove custom game settings but may get it working.
 
Arma 3 is not GPU intensive its CPU so long as you have a great CPU you will get decent frames even on geforce type cards movingt he game to SSD also helps

How do I stop Arma updating on Steam? I can't find the option... I alwasy thought that there was an option in the Settings > Updates area to select "do Not update". But it's not there :)
 
The Eden update seems to focus mainly on the editor, which I never use. Certain sounds have supposedly been upgraded, but I've yet to notice a difference.

The main difference is all the text in Arma is now elongated and irritating.

I did start creating in editor but kind lost track as I tend to lose focus on things I wound up with around 6 missions/campaigns on the go with loads of tasks partly done.
I just need to find away of focusing on 1 thing at a time to be able to make any progress
 
I want this game sooooo bad,,,only played a captain jack sparrow version and only tried single player,,,the online seems like my type of thing,,,defo on my must buy list

The server browser in the launcher is a nice touch.

Makes loading quicker for me.

The one swifty linked to looks very detailed awesome.

If you are wanting multiplayer, I would recommend finding a group of guys to play on a regular basis. If in a good clan, can learn loads too.

Tactical Battlefield mod has some good guys on there too who will take you under their wing.

In my experience, public Arma 3 is no where near as fun as a more organised event :)

Battle Royale mod can be fun.

Erm.. NO :)

The gains you are expecting require an engine rewrite, not a few "tweeks" :)

I maybe wrong but I expect very little to change FPS wise.
 
Did a lot of config by adding steam start up commands and editing cfg, now runs at over 60fps with a lot of stuff on high settings so I'm wanting to get into this.

Anyone up for some at some point using mic? I'd rate myself as a noob at this.
