***ArmA 3 Thread***

No don't...

Set up steam on your ded.

Install arma iii.

The set steam to offline mode, and use the switch -server in your start up line for the server version.

So our first 5 minutes went like this: ......GRENADE! BOOM> sorry guys.. they made G grenade!

Attempt two... DAMN! GRENADE!!!!!!!!! sorry again guys...

Attempt three... Ok guys I is inventory. G is grenade. Got it. ok........ GRENADE! DAmn damn sorry sorry this is just getting silly.

I'll probably rebind grenade to something else :p

It asked for 7 gig or so when I installed. It'll be tons more for the full actual game I reckon

Size on disk with compression 6.74 GB (7,240,128,791 bytes)

Defo not control over dedi servers at the minute. Having to host on my own computer to put password on. If you want to join us, we are playing some custom missions already.

TS - 94.76.250.72

im going to cry I cant play it on me

Q6700
ATI 4890 1GB
4GB ram

With every thing off or on low etc I get 20FPS sometimes more but meh I am gutted I will tweak till I get a decent FPS then start reporting bugs but so so gutted.

Whats the safe temp for a q6700 may try overclocking it?

First suspect is the cpu then memory then the gpu, because they usually let the graphics settings go very low. I ran arrowhead on a 128mb nv6800, did ok fps at 320x240 :p

conroe I ran at 80c for years. 85 and it'll throttle, etc

Seems very CPU limited.
Absolutely maxed - 56-60% on each GPU (SLI 570s)

Running a 2600k at 4.8ghz with no Hyperthreading (Will try with hyperthreading later)

I don't like my CPU over 65, but that's a personal thing...

Looking forward to testing out the Alpha on my rig. Had the download coming in whilst I popped to the library to get some work done. Otherwise I wouldn't have done a thing!
