What mission type are you playing?

Im just logging on to one of the OcUK servers, by searching for OcUK. There doesnt seem to be any mission involved. What do i need to look out for on the server select window to get into a decent mission? I choose the OcUK server because it seems to be the only one that doesnt crash out every 20 minutes.

There's 1 that runs the wasteland mission file and then there is ours which will normally run either COOP or some sort of team vs team objective mission.

Both have OcUK in the server name so check what mission file is being run.

My mission is ready to be tested...

Will wait for a few guys to be on our server who are all available to go onto TS3...

Not fully tested on a dedicated yet though...
 
Major problem. I cannot get multi player working. I can join a server but after I have chosen a call sign then press OK it just freezes and stops working.
Does anyone know a solution. I have checked the integrity and files ok.
 
Just a heads up, today's dev build has massively increased stability for me, before I would be lucky to make it 20 mins without a crash, now I've just managed about 2.5 hours before a crash with this latest build. Also performance in MP is much more consistent with SP now. Getting anywhere between 25-35fps now depending on the server's circumstances

Only downside is that is does limit your server choice somewhat if you're on MP
 
Had an awesome match today though I came 6th...

However, major issues happening on and off, it would either stall or stone dive to 5FPS which has never happened before.
 
Question for those who are running servers - Are you running the dev build or normal? Having any issues? Pro's, cons?

We're sticking with normal build. We will go to the devbuild eventually but while the majority of updates/bugs are fixing/causing game breaking changes we'll wait. Once they have the stability issues sorted we'll move to dev builds as they conquer all the big obvious flaws and start introducing proper improvements.

Just a little TOO early we feel to jump to dev builds. Today its great, tomorrow nothing works.
 
Marker. I am using the normal build. I think it could have been the server because I thought I would test it one last time and it worked. Where you can choose a spawn point. Sadly I couldn't play as it was bed time.

What a gorgeous game, a friend mailed me an alpha lite key yesterday

i have arma 2 but have never really played it but its one of those games i think ill enjoy once i spend time with it

will have more of a play today seems to run ok on my system, is everyone locked at 32 frames? thanks

Having to rethink the whole task creation system, as it is very very flaky at the moment and doesnt allow JIP...

So guess I am moving to task master 2 to run and assign the tasks, unless BIS release the modules with mp functioning..

MarkeR are all of the modules currently not working for MP?
I've been creating a small four man mission myself & Ive used the new task modules instead of using the old briefing.sqf method from Arma 2, but if they are bugged I'll have to revert to the old method.

Depends , we were running dev until 2 days ago
they removed a weapon and it broke ALL user created missions

So we went back to alpha build

I tried last nights dev build and missions are still broken , so still on alpha build at moment until they fix that issue

It only take 1 min to change between versions so it is not a big deal , I just have 2 different config files one for each version

You can use bis_fnc_mp I am sure, I haven't had time to have a look at the new function yet...

So going to use taskmaster2...
