***ArmA 3 Thread***

Although, I am sure some of the other guys will be on TS... join up with them and have a coop match, Melbo will change the map/mission to what you guys want!


From feedback last night, I will add another mission that will lead you towards your final goal. Gives you a purpose in between tasks!
 
iv had a lil play round on the mgt server for wasteland, its not too bad so far, but when i join mgt teamspeak theres never anyone on arma 3 lol
 
I'll have to jump on the server with some people that actually like to play as a team. I'm currently playing on a friends server with random people which always turns into team killing or just dumb players in general.

Most servers that run Wasteland/TvT missions will be full of the idiots mate. If you want tactics and team work then normally coop missions are the way forward.

I guess I'm just getting unlucky. When I play the coop headhunters on my own with bots I seem to get far, but as soon as the server fills up, can never get past the first objective because people just rush, die and leave.
 
Can anyone advise me about updating ArmA3? I bought it through Steam when the Alpha was released, now I'm reading it is in its Beta stage but I'm yet to update it as I've hardly played it. But upon opening Steam, I can't find any buttons to instruct an update for it.

Help please.
 
I understand that core elements of SLX and other mods from Arma were incorporated as part of the base installation for Arma 2 (eg. first aid). Since the developers have rights to all mods created with their tools, could they not add all the best/community standard mods to Arma 3? Been replaying Arma 2 with slx and asr ai - loving he game even more.

Game is still in Alpha only, you'll know when it hits beta because the price will go up.
 
Hey guys..

Messing around with the PnP fnc, I got this working...


A proof of concept, mainly for myself. That allows a camera to be placed on the front of a heli within ARMA III. Then choose between tracking vehicles or directly below...

Future work on the script, would hopefully include a list of vehicles to track, say within a 1Km radius from the heli. A zoom function, and maybe a wide angle view...

I think adding FLIR to the camera would mean to make it into a mod, which I wont be undertaking!

I knew these were already going to be implemented, but nice to see working in game!

Now remembering, the first heli is an unarmed MH9, the last pic is the armed AH9 :)

Unfotunately its dangerous waters as these things are not made by them. What you put in an EULA doesnt mean it would stand up in a court. I do wish they'd take the hint though. Look at the areas these mods repeatedly change and rethink their own product.

A tiny simple example is the bloody compass size. Its unreadable and one of the first arma2 and 3 mods was one that enlarges it. Simple simple stuff but without it that feature is near unusable!
 
We're trying to keep our addons minimal. Its likely we'll strip extra addons out of the mission. and stick our custom units into it as well as our M4s :)

But without actually changing the mission. Throw it over though!

Do you use a revive script? What about the virtual ammobox script? Both things we're likely to add if not included.

Was thinking of adding in BTK Revive as well...

The Heli addons wont be a mod mate, already in game :) apart from my camera script!
