For those that dont know, you can change from the 'stable' branch to the 'dev' branch by going into A3's steam properties, clicking the 'betas' tab on the far right and opting in.
Pros
- Daily updates with bug fixes and enhancements
- Access to new content early (Dedicated Server, Sniper package, Beta, maybe altis later on?)

Cons
- Whilst it is a lot less frequent lately that something goes wrong and likely to be more smoother during beta, the updates are not considered stable. One day your game will be fine, the next it may be completely broken.
- Not very many servers run on the dev branch
- Not compatible with servers running the stable branch

^^ nifty. playing on goon last night, they let you define whatever kit and soldier you want basically. Since it is all test, I like that

Loving the looks of the new helicopters. The BluFor UH-80 Ghosthawk looks awesome.

Helicopters are still way too easy to fly...come on, get that Take On Helicopters stuff implimented!


I'm getting some strange bug that happens most of the time when on foot...

Will probably get a server up once there are some good updated missions for us to play on if anyone is interested.

Apart from a new MPAD AA launcher I don't think so.

Just had a play in the SDV sub. You can lase targets with it, awesome!

Not yet, the only new air units are the helis for the 3 teams.

No point adding jets till they release the proper map on release. You can fly across the current one in around a minute in a heli.

there was a new LMG as well as the aforementioned AA launcher shown off on the live streams a few weeks ago and one of the BIS pages claims '7 new weapons' (can't remember where I saw this...). Still downloading here so ill report back in a bit

anyone else noticed the apparent lack of a crash model on the vehicles? Just driven a truck into a pillar at 85kph and then off a cliff, not a scratch. Same for other vehicles as well...

oh and new weapons i've found so far:

titan AA/AT launcher
titan compact (seems to be same thing but smaller...)
M20C w. various addons (based on F2000)
Vermin SPR (9mm smg)
Scoripon EVO (another smg)
Zafir 7.62 lmg

not sure what the 7th is
