Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon

The PVP outcry seems weird although I don't have any real interest in it. People are complaining about tank builds (tracked) being massively overpowered in the pvp mode. Which seems a classic, it's to early to talk about balance.

I'm yet to watch it but more gameplay footage.

Watched this live as I was on a night shift and it was incredibly cringy because of the asian woman host who knew nothing about the game. The pvp looked good to me but it was fairly hard to follow on the stream (lack of sleep probably didn't help). Didn't see too much of the customisation aspect but they did show play styles and legs/weapons etc could be switched up to counter particular situations.

Hoping to free up a but of cash to get this on release, currently sitting around £35 on cd keys sites which I reckon is a more suitable price than the £60 rrp.

Namco Bandai, appear to have been dropping an assortment of trailers

Just Ordered the Deluxe edition off of CDkeys for £43, the game is currently preloading on steam. Forgot to buy the collectors edition, hopefully they release the art book as a standalone piece.

Will try this for sure at some point and judging by the reviews, From is still unable to make a game that isn't at least very good so I'm fairly confident I'll enjoy it.

I've been trying to save as many pennies as possible, at dinner my wife gifted this to me on steam. It's my most anticipated title of the year... Now I'm pumped.
No surprise this looks and feels like Dark Souls with giant robots. Learning attack patterns, getting blown up a lot.

Whats the verdict? Its out now and ready to play, is it good at the price point?

Sorry I haven't played it but the videos shown gave me that impression. I'm sure there will be a few reviews in a day or two but releasing so close to Starfield will hit their sales I feel.

Yeah im a little hesitant in buying this with Starfield being just round the corner now. I suppose it could tie me over till Starfield launches but its quite expensive still.

There are a few reviews out, mostly good, about 35 hours to complete. Doable before starfield.

I've been playing since midnight (0243 right now) and the only serious gripe I have is controller dead zone. To turn the camera you first have to push the sticks a good 25% before the camera turns and it's sudden. Which doesn't make camera movement feel smooth.

That aside, it's a mech game to it's core. I'm in love. Hopefully the dead zone issue can be patched in.

It honestly feels like the dead zone is accidental. No way can you have a shooter with such a dead zone.

Just bought it and done the first mission, i admit it took some getting use to. Might be better to play this on controller rather than M&K though the implementation for M&K is really good!

First boss killed me twice

I'm having such nostalgia from my Armored core days on PS one lol, its equally as hard and i still suck at it!

Aren't there any options to adjust the deadzone / controller inputs ?
