Army selection

Well I was originally going for Systems Engineering Technician, and when I started my re-application I put that down, but it's no longer a trade lol.
So now I'm probably going for Communication Systems Engineer :).

How about yourself?

Aye, I saw your other thread and replied to that mate :). Awesome to hear you're getting in finally lol :D.

I'm joining the sigs, then hoping to do P coy and eventually join 216 Parachute Signal Squadron :D.

You ever go on MSN? I tried adding you, but you've not accepted, or logged on, or what ever lol :p.

aint used msn for like over a year now:p
Got to do my oath tomorrow and sign the papers and then a short wait till the 22nd and im off:D

Awsome :D. I had to do my oath seperately from the others because of my religion and the fact I'd put down aitheist lol.

What you get in your 2.4km run btw? I've been well lazy with my phys lately lol.

I am a CS Engineer, formally IS Engineer, the reason the Sys Eng Tech doesnt exsist is because it merged with IS Eng to Make CS Eng, so effectivly we are in the same trade, providing you get in and pass training phase 1 and 2, i might see you around :)

Good luck mate. You'll love it :) If you want P Company, keep your phys up after training and pester your troop to go as soon as you can. As hard as you try, you will never be as fit as you are immediately after Phase 2. Look after your knees, you'll need them in P Company. I didn't, and it cost me my PTI qual and Para wings :(

You get Lance Jack out of training, yes. Supposed to allow you more authority over most of the soldiers you will be dealing with. After that, full screw in 2 years, and Class One full screw (assuming you pass the course, plenty don't) after 4-5 years.

Stripey is dead-mans-boots tho. It's not unusual to see good coppers still at corporal after 15+ years :/

And yes, the red hat, what a target that is :p

I just stay away from you to be perfectly honest xD.

I left a few years ago :)

You should make friends with your local monkies, they aren't that bad. Plus, make friends with the RMP, the NCOIC admin room, and the QM staff and you can blag just about anything :p

i got friends in the QM dept, gucci kit ahoy :)

we dont have RMP's on camp, its only a small regiment. but they do pop up every now and again to set up a speed trap. those lovely lovely.....people....

They probably enjoy it as much as you do. I hated doing speed gun duties when I was a nub. Part of the job though, alas. Attend a few fatal TA's caused by people driving too fast, and your perspective changes. That's another discussion, mind :)
