Is there, by any chance any way of finding out if you'll be on the list of lucky people to be getting on of these when they are delivered, or is it just a wait and see type thing?

(Or a we're going to have many more than currently pre-ordered so don't worry type thing?)

Totaly dependant on what card you are after.
 
Fatboy, I ordered a xfx 5870 about 1pm sat what are the chances of getting one? Can get you my order number if that helps? Many thanks
 
You cant use petrol as a example as its a item that is necessary a graphics card is optional you can get a cheap one and still have a working PC ...not so with petrol

Ordered Asus 5970 on 7th Dec, backordered to 3509235(OC935854).

Well on the site at the present time, you are still showing Pre-Order for all 5970's and all 5870's.

So what happened to "significant quantity of the following arriving in stock". Don't seem that significant to me, as in NONE when i look at the site tonight.

Basically the pre-orders are eating up free stock. If you want a 5970 before Xmas order a Powercolor 5970. 5870 either XFX or Sapphire and you will be fine.

Asus are showing no ground at all I would change to the powercolor you order will ship on thursday.

Guess I'd best order a PSU... not sure the antec earthwatts 500w is up to it ;)
 
Got a Sapphire 5970 on order, been told I'm 4th on the list, can you confirm if that means I can be expecting one or do I need to start scratching around trying for another brand?
