US: Arrow - Season 3

I think everyone preferred that version even I did :)

Its a bit like batman killing the joker.....or superman killed zod

I think we will see more darkness factor in on both shows now they are gearing up for more baddies.

Yes. And the fact that meant the Flash's younger audience started to then cross over and watch Arrow too is whats ruined it.

Series 1 was gritty and down to earth. Oliver racked up a pile of bodies every episode, had deamons to fight, and 500 people died in the season finale. But now that all the kids are watching nobody can die, even the people who are already dead, and its cool, everyone and their mates can be super heros now, join the club, lets all have fun...

yep, that's why i loved the first two seasons. i don't liekt his "superpower" stuff, the Flash thing makes me cringe. looks more and more like this upcoming season will be the one when i bail. hopefully Gotham will stay true though.

I don't mind the lighter tone. I'm just not a fan of the expanded cast. There's not enough of Oliver simply fighting bad guys, doing his own thing. Give us the vigilante of Season 1 & 2, but without the killing, bring in trick arrows instead and use the expanded cast sparingly. That would give us a better Green Arrow show.

IMHO The Flash is closer to the mark in that respect. They've expanded his world with Green Arrow, Firestorm, The Atom and Captain Cold, but those characters aren't ever-present. They are guest stars. The Flash is about The Flash. He just get a helping hand occasionally.

'Team Arrow' were the weak point of Season 3. The writers wasted some really good plot devices; making Oliver poor, making Starling City hate him, facing off against the League of Assassins. His friends' unwavering belief in him diminished the impact. He was never truly alone. Never truly broken. The League should have taken everything from him and left him fighting to his last breath.

I'm still looking forward to Season 4 though. There's one character in particular that I can't wait to see back on the screen :D

Agreed with that. S3 was a definite let down for me, especially compared to S2.

I thought Arrow season 1 and 2 was awesome (Arrow is just a hard as nails guy, yet still feels human), and am now taking a break from Season 3 because it's so bloody ridiculous and just feels lame. I HATE the guy who plays Roy Harper, he is God awful and is almost single-handedly ruining the vibe of the show for me. Well not completely single-handedly, as Thea Queen is also a monument to ludicrousness.

Shame, really.
