US: Arrow (Season 4)

Yup it was excellent, like season 1/2 again :cool:

Here's hoping the writers etc. see how much people prefer this dark/gritty style for arrow. Also, it is the highest rated episode of the season so far.
 
Now this is the Arrow that I want! Dark, brutal, violent. No Folicity. No Mastubation Rags that can absorb nuclear ***shots. No Thea being able to beat up Slade Wilson. No Kurtis awkwardly shoehorned homosexual divorce story. Just straight up brutal Arrow.
 
I agree, that was by far the best episode for a long while. It's just a shame they chose to use Sarin rather than some other (or made-up) chemical agent because the writers obviously have no idea how Sarin actually works in the real world.
 
Very good episode for a change, much more like Season 1/2. Oliver packing it in for what, the 3rd time at least? Good one. He's also going to have to do some impressive beard growth and get back in the island in the flashbacks in a very short time as they've pretty much caught up to Season 1 :D
 
I heard that wasn't the case and I could have sworn he debunked that rumor. He has been working hard on another tv show and had serious scheduling conflicts hence he couldn't do the crossover.

Wont lie, as a perfectly straight man I have a man crush on him.. lol!
 
And its a refresh for the actor. People hated her with a passion as Laurel/Black Canary. This gives her a way to stay on the show but not be a centre of vitriol that was aimed at her. Personally I always liked her, she is pretty stunning and pretty funny...
 
Just finished episode 14, slowly making my way through. It feels like hard work though which is sad given how much I enjoyed the original season. I think I would rather just watch his Russian flashbacks as at least back then he was more ruthless which makes for better watching
 
I just watched episode 18 I think (so one behind). Have I missed something?! The pacing again is all over the place again which is a shame as the dark episode where Olly got tortured by Chase was actually decent. There seems to be very little chemistry between the characters at the moment. At the moment we're going through a forced Renne and 'Hass' (urgh) bromance. Olicity was the worst thing that happened to the show and it still hasn't recovered. Compared to the other DC shows:

- Supergirl. It's more light hearted admitedly and it's cringy as hell, but the characters gel okay.
- Flash. It's gone a bit crap recently but the characters are still okay (apart from Wally who is awful).
- Legends. Arguably the most fun of these shows at the moment. Everyone looks like they're enjoying themselves.

I worry for Arrow next season. I miss Slade Wilson. I miss Olly and Diggle when it was so much simpler. Hell, I miss Roy!
