Arrow Sky 1

Are we allowed to talk about these things now even though they have not been aired in the UK? Used to be a no no on here!

If it is a rule, then that rule has been broken many times in all the other TV shows threads :p

I think it is fine as long as people use spoiler tags and state before the spoiler tag what is contained within it i.e. "Following spoiler contains info. from episode 2"

rolled my eyes a bit at how everyone showed virtually no emotion at him suddenly reappearing after 5 years, even the younger sister. Some of the acting is a bit clunky and of course the father of the girl who died on the boat is a cop seeking vengeance.

+1

Found the acting pretty poor as well, especially by Oliver :p

It usually takes me a few episodes to get into a new TV show but I think this could turn out pretty good.

I honestly think it would have been much better with Justin Hartley (I am sure that he could have played a darker character as well, a bit like what we saw in the last few seasons of Smallville), but unfortunately they wanted to start fresh and have no tie-ins with Smallville :(

seems to depend on wether the mods watch the show or not as they ignore the dexter and sons of anarchy threads but the game of thrones one was constantly enforced

If i recall thats due to the uk air date only being a day or three behind the us date if a show has a few weeks between air dates its not so bad

It was certainly better than I expected. But then, I was expecting it to be terrible...

And how hot is Oliver Queen's sister?!

I haven't seen the latest episode but from what my friends (who live in the USA) have said and going by online forums, this episode sounds very good! :p Apparently the show is really picking up now.

Haven't watched the trailer either yet as I haven't seen the latest episode, but for the people who have, here is a trailer for episode 3!

Only just noticed this and it actually looks rather awesome, just wondering should I watch smallville beforehand or can i dive straight into it?

This has no relation to smallville whatsoever, so you can just dive straight into it :)

The show is way more dark/gritty than what smallville was and has more of a realistic approach to it :p

Starting to really like Steven Amell as green arrow now.

I'm liking this so far, it's Assassins Creed + Batman + Robin Hood blended together for some popcorn fun.

I like that they're taking a (relatively) dark and gritty approach to things.

I don't like that the "fight" scenes seem to consist of Green Arrow standing in front of a guard, who fires burst from a fully automatic weapon, with all the bullets missing him completely, then shooting an arrow into said guard, instantly knocking him unconscious.

The combat scenes just seem lazily written. And the "bad guys" have worse aim than henchmen in a James Bond movie.

The second episode was a little silly with all the automatic gun fire and not even worrying him. But again, it's a bit of brain switch off fun.

so there was another guy that shot him at the end of the episode, is he emulating his skills, or.....well there's loads of scenarios running through my mind.
