Ashes of the Singularity Coming, with DX12 Benchmark in thread.

Now uploading my vid that comapres Extreme against Crazy and looking at Matt and Dygaza's results, I think I need to do some overclocking :D AMD giving me a good kicking in this :(:p

Muchos Respect for the level-headedness and honesty you are giving this benchmark Greg.

Out of curiosity could you do another run with your Titan X OC'ed to see if it can overtake the Fury X results or to see how much of the gap it can get back through overclocking. Be interesting to find out. Cheers

And no I havent got this yet, probably because I didnt want to spend my money on what is just a benchmark at the moment. Performance on my card is looking favourable though and some good prices about at the moment. What with the game due out fairly soon and a few quid left from my birthday....I might just treat myself. :D

Small performance boost with HT off. So the bench does not appear to be using more than 8 cores/threads. I expect high Ghz speed rather number of cores is more beneficial with 6-8 cores being ideal.

Matt, what memory are you running? It takes very fast memory to max out all 8 cores anyways, yet to max out 16 threads.

If you don't have faster memory to test, could you test with different memory speed to see if there is any difference in scaling?

How is dx11 compared to dx12. Nvidia cards gained a small advantage on the last build i seen running dx11. the benches i have seen show dx11 and 12 neck and neck so far.

Not looked but will do later.

That is ShadowPlay overlay but recorded with Avermedia LGP lite (not very good but does an ok job recording DX12)
 
Seem to be completely CPU bound in the game there Matt, even with the single. but that multigpu score is nice.

There must be some bugs in that gpu bound calculation. Actually it hasn't worked properly for last couple of patches (or then we misread it). But if you check the green dots (cpu performance) , they are way higher on Matt's benchmark compared to his blue dots (gpu performance). So he is not cpu bound.

In Gregster's video on the other hand, he has trouble getting performance out of his cpu for some reason. He has faster cpu than I do, but his cpu score is lower. I don't know if this is caused by async path or what.

If you look at my scores, you see at extreme, cpu and gpu scores are quite evenly matched, but on crazy my cpu has some more room to breath.

Oxide and both IHV's still have work to do.

I need to start testing higher resolutions. 2x Fury X is wasted at 1080P settings in this bench. Complete CPU bottleneck, even though scaling looks respectable.

I do wonder if that cpu cap is real, or is it calculating cpu performance per card for some reason. As you see you have higher fps in that one scene, than your cpu performance is for a long time (impossible scenario).

I miss that cpu bench now. It allowed to see how much cpu can truly give when it's asked to give everything.

had to change the screen res in the .ini file as it wasn't going to 4k via DP

but this is with the new patch from tonight ; GTX 980 @4k @ Extreme
 
Just noticed something but not sure, still looks like a lot of effects are missing from Nvidia cards. but would need someone to record with an AMD card for a comparisson.

Yer, no idea and interested if there is any IQ difference. I would be surprised if there is though and my quality isn't the best and recording DX12 is hard going :( But yer, hopefully someone will have a recording.
