50.5 fps "Crazy" with a modest overclock on my Titan X (1386Mhz core and +500 on the mem) at 1080P and the CPU at 4.625Ghz

Muchos Respect for the level-headedness and honesty you are giving this benchmark Greg.

Out of curiosity could you do another run with your Titan X OC'ed to see if it can overtake the Fury X results or to see how much of the gap it can get back through overclocking. Be interesting to find out. Cheers

And no I havent got this yet, probably because I didnt want to spend my money on what is just a benchmark at the moment. Performance on my card is looking favourable though and some good prices about at the moment. What with the game due out fairly soon and a few quid left from my birthday....I might just treat myself. :D

Missed this sorry and yer, it doesn't worry me that I am beaten. A few more DX12 titles and a few more wins for AMD would be great as far as I am concerned and with Hitman and Quantum Break being DX12, it might well be a great time to own AMD :cool:
 
you can see that driver overhead on nvidia cards is all over the place while on AMD cards it is fairly flat :)
It could also be async code which isn't yet working properly for nvidia. Testing without it then should give a bit smaller overhead (I think).

Well to be fair after being on here for around 18 months and getting to know people I am now firmly in the camp where I am more concerned with how my own card performs with any new titles. If my card is beaten on performance it does not bother me, however If my card is performing poorly in a specific game then I like to know why and hope that it can be fixed as soon as possible.

Like yourself I hope that DX12 games are a big success for RTG, but I do not want there to be a negative effect on Nvidia cards either. Strong healthy competition can only be a good thing for PC gamers in 2016/17.

Bring on VR, I say. I cant wait for all of you to get your Rifts through and let us know your thoughts about them. I have been given the nudge and the wink off of the boss indoors that I can have a VR kit if she is accepted for the redundancy she has applied for.....

Well said and I never want anyone to have any problems in games. I have always been competitive though and always wanted to be atop the leaderboards but that side has dwindled and time to let the young whippersnaps (say it like Stewie) have that glory :D

As for RTG, I can see them pulling their socks up and getting back to glory and I would love a 50/50 split with us splitting hairs over who is faster in title X etc. Competition is good.

The Rift is going to be my only big PC purchase this year as well and proper looking forward to it :) (hope all goes well with the wife and yer, I have been made redundant twice and not good with kids and mortgages).

Anyways, I am off to try a good old point and click adventure and resting my poor PC from the beating that Ashes has given it :D
 
I think the map is the same, just different textures now. Everything is now much more nicer.

And I think benchmark leaderboard could still be updated, as old results would be swapped with new runs ;)

good ;) crazy preset only :D though it would interesting to see how cards do with extreme and crazy presets, but I think that would be too many data points ;)

@Matt, my benchmark reports 0x0 resoliution even at 1080p. Cannot change to anything else
