No they're not... Let's look at some figures that the article cited from figures presented by Lancashire police:

How about the Sudanese who have been under constant threat from their northern Islamic militants sorry I mean followers.

The Pope has had to come out publically and ask for religious protection for non Muslims in Muslim countries. Its fine though init. Just small minorities. As Christians flee Iraq in increasing numbers.

But then you're ignoring the Indonesians, the country with the largest muslim population (approx 15% of the entire muslim population)

There are over 1.5 billion muslims in the world which is a quarter of the global population. Are you saying all Muslims are evil terrorists bent on destruction or rapists trying to seduce young girls?

Unfortunately when Islam gets to the state level it tends to end up being a not all that pleasent thing for those that do not believe in Islam. We have been moving away from theocratic states in the west for quite a while now and I think we are better for it.

It is really quite blinkered to view Islamic States without first using a prism which also highlights the geo-political interests of the West in those States. This has had a huge impact on how these States evolved in the "American Century" e.g. Egypt, Algeria, most of the Middle East (save Iran and Syria at the moment), not least because of Colonialism, Oil, and now Neo-Colonialism. Such things as the creation of the Taliban, Iran-Iraq war, Alegrian Civil War, and the debacle following the fall of the Shah....well, lets just say that having some random sitting back decades later and talking about theocracy really needs to be questioned. No offense.

All very nice but how exactly does that relate to the god awful way that islamic nations treat people from other religions? Do we force them to do it? When exactly is Islam going to go "You know what, when we get an Islamic government it seems to be pretty rubbish for quite a lot of people, maybe we need to look at that?". Alternatively continually going "Waaah, it isnt our fault it is the west!" is a much better way of sorting things out...

Again, somewhat irrelevant to how Islamic states act towards their own people. But keep making the excuses, I am sure it will make the problems go away...

So you are saying that they are all able to think unabated from religion. Or from blasphemy laws or that they can look beyond their religious texts to become 1.5 billion individuals? I don't think they can whilst still claiming to be Muslims.

Hence why Islam has not been able to modernise or shed the initial limitations imposed upon its inception. Castiel himself has acknowledge that to be true.

Individuality or personality and thought are limited by Islam specifically.

Yes I am. They may be Muslim but that doesn't mean they don't have individual thoughts. Do you even interact with any muslims? Do you realise they are people who, just like anybody else, have individual thoughts, dreams, ambitions. You're insistence that all Muslims act the same is very ignorant indeed.
 
Well no the laws in Islamic states forbid thoughts against Islam such as the blasphemy law. This even subverts non Muslims from anti Islamic thoughts so how can a Muslim have them?

Apparently no one makes it to trial on these laws however as they typically get lynched and killed beforehand by these objective and progressive individuals, right?

I didn't realise you had decided to just speak against Islamic states. It looked like you were grouping all Muslims, regardless of where they came from as one huge group with the same thoughts.

And yet there are groups like:

Islam Against Extremism
Muslims for Peace
Muslims for Progressive values
British Muslims for Secular Democracy

Those are examples of groups who question Islam, speak out against terrorism, Sharia law etc and are in favour of equality and peace. They don't look to impose Islam on anyone.
