ASROCK X570 TAICHI - THE RYZEN 3000 MOTHERBOARD GIBBO & 8 PACK RECOMMENDS

Does anyone run their GPU in the second slot? To either free up the USB type C slot or to stop choking the Chipset fan?

Is there any negative to doing this? I believe its a 16x slot, that's wired as an 8x Slot. (so effectively a PCIe 4.0 x 8 slot).

I run it in the second slot due to the USB-C connector issue. Can't say I've noticed any problems doing so but then I'm only running a 1080 and not some super duper expensive card.

I have noticed that Ryzen Master keeps auto switching to PBO when I start a game up, despite me not having done anything to make it do so.

PBO was enabled by default in my BIOS. Have you checked what yours is set to?

Is PBO bad? I would have assumed on is best

PBO is good but it seems very variable how these chips boost between PBO off/PBO on/ PBO and Auto OC on. Some people are reporting higher boosts with PBO off for some strange reason.

I'm sure the BIOSes will mature a bit and iron all the odd boost behaviours out soon enough.

Where is the Auto OC setting in the Taichi. Is it on by default and is it worth it?
