He must have good hearing to know it was the Police, in the dark.

If the Police broke into the Embassy and went into the internal fire escape does anyone have a link to the Embassy / Ecuador protesting about that?

This would constitute incursion into the Embassy not something which I imagine would go unremarked. Surely he can't be making this up to wind his supporters into a frenzy of anti establishment feeling.
 
I do not know the character, nor am I interested, what I know is what he has done, and that is to reveal secrets, he never stole them. So in this, he acted as a journalist.

Did some of his acts resulted in deaths? Well, show the evidence they did, so far we have only seen wikileaks revealing criminal acts and immoral behaviour of government officials and the military.

He acknowledged himself that what Wikileaks leaked about Kenya lead to deaths and its been quoted several times in this thread.

The limited editing of documents indicating people who helped coalition forces in Afghanistan and the mindset of the Taliban must surely give you some pause that not only would similar things happen there but Assange wouldn't mind that much about that either.

If he was acting like a journalist when Wikileaks revealed Police and Judicial corruption in Ecuador, I suspect he was acting less like one when he claimed asylum in their embassy to avoid questioning about alleged sex offences.

Worth reading the other article where he posts about the reactions to what that blog says though..the degree of hysteria about Assange is actually really quite strange. I don't tweet or do twitter so I hadn't seen that sort of thing. Man the world is weird.
 
As I said, I only have followed the case, and certainly I am not interested on the entire affair. What I can see consistently in all fronts is the systematic hunt of whistle-blowers in the western world (better not to talk Russia, China). Wikileaks servers a purpose and it will be a pity if it goes because of Assange.

I think Wikileaks and what it stands for will carry on and it is clear it would now probably be better off without an association with Assange.

Ecuador persecutes journalists, its hard to see how Wikileaks can provide more exposure of corruption in that country now, for example, if he remains thoroughly linked to it.

Yes, I've followed the reaction various commentators have received and it's been incredible. David Allen Green has also written some excellent blogs on the subject

I think the best thing Wikileaks could do is sever it's ties with Assange, but sadly he's dragging them down with it.
