Assasins Creed was all hype

Don't you guys bother reading more than one review before making your mind up if a game is good or bad?

I have read some reviewers say things like the camera angles are bad and the control system sucks and others say the camera angles are really clever and the control system, once you get used to it, is very intuitive... Which just goes to show that reviews and their scores are just one persons opinion and could well be one you don't agree with.

I would personally like to read several reviews from different sources before making up my mind on a game!

I've came across about 12-14 reviews so far, and about 4 that are around 7, the majority are around 9's. So the signs are good, and the bad points are a bit exaggerated in some reviews IMO.
 
well hopefully the demo will be here soon then we can all try before we buy.
Thats what im going to do anyway. The game looks great dont get me wrong but i think its going to be one of them marmite games you will either love it or hate it tbh
 
7.5 is still a good review, why are people fussing over a review anyway?

read in the Paper the new Elizabeth film was not that good, and i thoroughly enjoyed it!
 
Hmmm, I was looking at this in stores across the pond.
I saw it was released yesterday, but am going to wait on a demo before deciding myself.

Any idea what the difference is between the standard version, and the special edition version, besides the £4 difference in asking price? ;)

EDIT: Just noticed the Limited Edition thread, where it mentions that it comes in a tin case... is that it? If it does turn out to be good, it'll be the standard edition for me then ;)

Don't think ill buy it. I know i'll be disappointed. I'd rather have Mario Galaxy and save some money for Uncharted.

How do you know for sure that you will be disappointed??...just because a few reviews gave the game a low score??. Personally im not too fussed about game reviews as they all differ...some games i have bought that have had big ratings ie 8-10 etc ive been sorely disappointed in. Prime example COD4, i wasnt that impressed with it, graphically its superb but gameplay wise...couldnt stand it and i breathed a huge sigh of relief when i finally finished it earlier tonight.

Still these bad reviews havent put me off getting AC, looking forward to getting my copy on fri or hopefully earlier.
 
i have to say reading and watching most of the reviews, this still looks set to be an AWESOME game!!! cannyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy WAIT :D

Exactly, Gamestrailer gave that around 7, and this 9.1.

Personally I don't really trust IGN (They like PES2008, and look how that turned out), I prefer Gamestrailer and their reviews, it seems match closer to my experience of playing the games so I am going to go with that.
