Assassin's Creed Mirage

Seems o.k so far, when the main story opens up in the early part of the game you get 4 throwing knives but hardly ever get any back from dead bodies, in fact a lot of bodies cannot even be searched, so you throw 4 blades and might or might not get 1 back
This is annoying when stealth is required to kill guards you cannot easily reach in order to advance the story, then you have to veer off to find a shop to get 4 more blades or risk carrying on without any, As the game progresses you get to expand what you can carry but I've not got there yet.
You can do an early upgrade on the skills tree to recover throwing knives! I went down that route early on as it made it much more fun to combine assassinations with throwing knives to take out 2/3 people at once.

I'm actually really enjoying it! I agree with others in that the opening 2 hours or so (prologue + return to Baghdad) is a little slow but I've found that it really opens up from there. I'm quite far through now - assuming not too far away from closing out the main story.

I like that it feels smaller and that the side quests I've done so far haven't been too repetitive. That was something I really struggled with in Odyssey - I loved the world and some of the main story missions were great, but it just felt so so grindy. This has absolutely not felt that way at all. Not in the way the skill tree works, missions, quests etc.

My favourite AC game was AC2 (the only game I ever got all 1000G on Xbox 360 for) - and then Revelations. I basically adored the Ezio trilogy, then enjoyed Revelations and Unity - so for me it's nice to play a game that doesn't feel so all consuming.

Everyone is different so there are plenty of people that loved the switch to the more BIG open world RPG style with Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla - but for me this is really enjoyable again.

Started playing this a few nights ago, I expected them to make the stealth a bit better.

I can pretty much run around assassinating everyone even in fortified places and barely ever getting spotted.

Yeah it's not very indepth, It's pretty much just filler as it was meant to be a sort of expansion for Valhalla to tell Basims story. The next proper AC game is Assassin's Creed Codename Red set in feudal Japan, Something many AC fans have been requesting for years.

I was kind of put of assassins creed after playing Valhalla, how is the story, side quests and gameplay on this one? is it similar to the 3 Ezio games or more of the same like Valhalla?

I've just completed this.

I had no ******* idea what was going on at the end. I had to read Wikipedia to try and make sense of it but even that didn't really help. It turns out Basim was a character in Valhalla and was really Loki? And Basim in this has been released from prison or something?

The scary thing is that I played Valhalla, and I don't even remember Basim in that game! The trouble is the plots are so labyrinthine and when spread over 100+ hours of gameplay that I don't tend to retain the story very well. It doesn't help that I last played Valhalla 2 1/2 years ago (April 2021)

I don't have issues remember movies though.

Only played around 2hrs so far. Very different to the previous ACs.

Also this one is very difficult.

It's much more about sneaking around and assassinations than just all blades blazing approach

Might wait a bit and then give it a go down the line, got loads of other games to clock at the moment but good to know they are moving away from the Valhalla system
