Assassin's Creed Mirage

I refunded the sub. I think I am just bored of the series now, it would need to do something drastically different to lure me back in (or just have another Black Flag setting).
Yeah I'm persisting with it at the moment but Lords of the Fallen is out next Friday and then Cities Skylines 2 and Alan Wake 2 later in the month, so completing AC Mirage might be a very low chance.

Well I'm 11.5 hours into the game now and it's worth completing now I think. It still kinda feels more like a DLC to me than a full game and I think that's because the storyline isn't as deep as the main games. Still it's not terrible.

It was meant to be DLC for Valhalla to tell Basim's story but they realized they couldn't get it out in a timely manner so had it as a standalone.

So what are people's thoughts? (Of those that have played it)
Overpriced, should have been a DLC imo, its ok in itself but just not one for me. I actually really liked AC Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla and preferred the more "RPG" combat based format. I also liked the tie-ins with mythology in that trilogy and the associated mythology gameplay sections. Really tried to like Mirage but have now given up with it, all it has done is remind me why I felt AC needed to change its format originally and Mirage just makes me want to replay AC Origins rather than finish Mirage.

Seems o.k so far, when the main story opens up in the early part of the game you get 4 throwing knives but hardly ever get any back from dead bodies, in fact a lot of bodies cannot even be searched, so you throw 4 blades and might or might not get 1 back
This is annoying when stealth is required to kill guards you cannot easily reach in order to advance the story, then you have to veer off to find a shop to get 4 more blades or risk carrying on without any, As the game progresses you get to expand what you can carry but I've not got there yet.

Performance is pretty decent so far, 130FPS average maxed out at 4K using DLSS set to Quality, GPU usage does drop to 80% in a fair few places though.

Also for anyone that needs it, A mod to disable the horror that is chromatic aberration - https://www.nexusmods.com/assassinscreedmirage/mods/23

I found a bug where you take a leap of faith into a pile of leaves etc and then cannot jump out no matter what button you press, the fix was to keep the forward button pressed so I instantly jump out, if I delay I get stuck. Also fast travel towers require you to syncronise again every time you return, (unless it's supposed to do that)

I found a fun bug when you do the leap of faith from the top of this very odd huge structure made of bricks in the middle of the desert into this massive hole in the ground with a pool at the bottom. When you land in the water all the textures kind of disappear. Joy.

EDIT

For anyone with a proper HDR capable display, Do yourself a favor and do not use the ingame HDR implementation, It is total camel crap, Instead use SpecialK, Enable HDR in windows and then launch the game using SpecialK, Soooooooooooooo much better.

Ubisoft simply cannot do HDR, Valhalla was the same.
