Assassin's Creed this Friday, whose getting it ?

Now im used to the controls im really enjoying the game, its so intuitive! especially the parkour! i do that more than walking the streets!

Yep using the 360 wirless one and it works perfectly. You may want to remap some of the buttons but very easy to play on the pad. Rumble does not seem to work on this game though but I think that is just a bug in the wireless pad. As always you cannot remap the triggers to anything but the game does default them to looking left/right. Probably a case of manually editing an ini file to remap these or you could use xpadder to remap them.

You have to log in again before you are presented with a quit option! :rolleyes:

Doesn't seem to work for me, it says I need to do "LOW Profile". How do you do that?

EDIT Ignore that comment It's working now, haven't a clue why it wasn't earlier

yep, theres still a few niggling features like quitting options are crap, but thats mostly because console games you don't really "quit", you just turn off. The game does save often enough that you can do that really anytime. Complete a mission and you're sorted, alt-f4. thats about the only problem with the game so far.

IT is a little repetitive, though to be fair many games are, the story is whats lacking, go back to point A to get the only real story, there needs to be story ongoing in every city so theres input and stuff going on that makes you feel more involved as you do. THe thing is that makes the game good is, while it feels repetitive, its still fun to make loads of guards angry have a massive horde chase you , lead them onto a roof and have a massive fight and knock loads of guys off. Its still fun to fight at the end of the day as fighting is so well done. If the fighting was much less fun, and the cities were badly designed and a pain to get up to roofs and get around it would have been awful, but thankfully they got those two crucial bits right.
 
So am i getting the feeling its a little bit like GTA?

Once you get bored of the story, you just start trying to get the highest wanted rataing so you can blow up tanks.

Same kind of thing?

Strange you should mention GTA as i was just about to ask .....

How many people are actually trying to blend in/become invisible/be a stealth assassin like you're supposed to?
Coz, all i seem to be doing is behaving like im playing GTA, running around everywhere, getting to places as fast as possible, killing anyone who starts on me and actually aiming for people and running them down with my horse :p

Think the climbing could have been made more challenging like Prince of Persia, in this you can't fall off -its too easy!
 
Talking about bugs, was hunting a flag in damscus, reached it, dropped down to *** ground and was flung miles into the air, was thinking ohh what a nice view then realised that i was going to die when i landed :(

I must say that the flags are bloody annoying was trying to find the last 1 in masyaf? last night got really peeved off, i jumped on a wall and accidentaly assainated a civilian when i bounded off it.
 
What sort of settings would i be able to run this at on the folowing system?

Q6600
4GB RAM
8800GTS 640mb

Res: 1280x1024

I really want to try it on the PC, but ive already had it on the PS3, so unless itll happily run relatively high GFX ill probably pass.

You will be able to have everything maxed out probably.

What do you get if you collect the flags?

Mine has crashed for the umpteenth time randomly, strangely it's only when it saves or in cut scenes, has done it once in a fight :\
