Assassin's Creed Unity

so dragon age is better than expected and AC:unity is worse than expected

any bets for Far Cry 4?

Ubisoft have a history of poorly optimised games. but this one has from what I've read sunk to all new levels, and the inclusion of micro transactions to open chests is really the icing on the cake.

I was sold on the idea of this game, but in its current form guess it'd be one I wait to see if patched out or hits sub 20 quid before I have another look. which now goes the same for the division, as I am now not holding out much hope for that title..

I am now more interested in Dragon age..

FC4 will be awesome! Reviews out Friday so we'll know well before release. Different devs who seem to know what they're doing.

Ubi should stop the whole AC once a year thing. The game is obviously ambitious in its scale but they've failed to ship it finished.

At least we still have Montpellier :) I want a Rayman Legends 2!

Ubisoft getting an absolute slating on Twitter right now for the micro transactions and sucky performance.

This runs like crap on the PS4. Just been watching my neighbour playing it and it's horrid. The slowdown at parts is unbearable.

Ubi need a good kicking about this as the game is broken and should not have been released.

Rightly so, but do you think they'll do anything about it?
Not really, I think Watchdags told us all we need to know. Sad thing is, there are folks out there who actually shop on the high streets and they won't know how bad the game is until they get home with it...Ubisoft win.

Watchdogs runs ok on PS4 ?

They patched Black Flag shortly after release to improve performance but that was no where near the level that this is tbh. I'm not sure how they even thought they could release it let alone patch it after release.

microtransactions in full priced retail game. I understand in f2p (as long as not p2w) but this should be banned in full priced games. I also dislike the companion app.

every game is going to become a grind or pay to skip the grind or bypass caps

I have a psn account, why do I need a uplay and now a companion app!!!! enough with multiple regiistrations, I just want to play and not sign up to newsletters and databases

pass. will get lego batman instead

True that.

I remember the days I would just buy a game without looking at reviews, knowing about bugs and so on.

Although that was the days when games had no online and could not be patched, but then they worked!!

For some reason C&C: Red Alert comes to mind. I just went out and bought it as I knew it was from Westwood and was C&C based. I knew nothing else as the internets for us was in its infancy.

I am not against microtransactions, in any game but only when it is used in a certain way.

The micro transaction must not hinder the core game play or prevent you to get certain object that can improve your experience.

So I don't mind the micro transaction in GTA5, you can get the same thing in game if you play a little more, grind a little more.

I don't even mind the micro transaction in Forza 5 to buy certain exclusive car packs as there are enough other cars out there, and tuning etc to make the experience enjoyable.

Tbh a lovely lawsuit needs sending their way, they blatantly false advertise such as Watchdogs or to put it bluntly their games are not fit for purpose.

That said while they still keep being bought they have little reason to change and it encourages other publishers to follow trend.

What was the problem with Watch Dogs? I thought it was brilliant.

With regards the companion app and stuff, I don't think they meant any harm, they just wanted to extend the experience I guess, but they really should have made it optional.

Watch dogs was a far cry in looks from what was displayed at e3. Even the pc version didn't look like what Ubisoft claimed from e3, it watch dogs downgrade was well published around the net.

It is also a farily poor performing game in places as well, one of the few ps4 games I've played that did have noticeable screen tear.

Oh right, I knew that the graphics were not what they were promised, but I honestly thought it looked ok, and the gameplay more than made up for any shortcomings in the visuals for me.

**** me Ubisoft, you are royal ****s arent you?

ps3ud0

Is that 1080p badge really in the game or is that just a mock up floating around the net , as if that's really in the game, then that is very poor indeed..
