Assassin's Creed Unity

Watching streams on twitch and I don't see the big problem, it looks perfectly playable. I bought it for £28.95 for PS4, so I can sell for a similar price after I have done campaign and co-op.

Kotaku have slated this. It's a shame as I was looking forward to the Co op but I think I'll just rent this during the next dry patch.

Good job I listened and waited :)

Well I got GTA to keep me busy I guess, might need to look into this dragon age.

I will pick this up eventually like I did with Black Flag, not at full price though now after the reviews hopefully by then it will be patched up.

Interesting side post from IGN: http://www.ign.com/blogs/jdavisign/2014/11/11/8-real-things-i-experienced-in-assassins-creed-unity/

For those just wanting the bullet points:

- I tried to open a treasure chest, but was told I needed the Assassin’s Creed companion app to open it, with no additional information or context.
- I tried to open another treasure chest, and was told I needed to sign up for Assassin’s Creed Initiates to open it.
- I tried to open a third treasure chest, and was told I needed to upgrade Arno’s lockpicking skill.
- I upgraded Arno’s lockpicking skill, and was told my skill level still wasn’t high enough to open that chest. I gave up.
- When I paused the game, the second option in the pause menu is an eStore that lets you spend real money on time-saving boosts, bonus in-game currency, and so-on.
- I saw a woman floating through the air.
- I heard the same line of dialogue 5 times during an early-game chase mission.
- I experienced my character flip all around on the side of a building instead of climb through the window like I wanted.
- None of the above includes subjective elements I found troublesome, including confusing and uninteresting “modern day” moments, trial and error mission design, and soulless NPCs.

The stuff about needing to be registered for something or having an app to open a chest really irritates me, probably more than the eshop stuff as that was in black flag (although it was in the psn store and not in the game iirc).

So it's had mediocre reviews, it's been ****ged off around the net for poor optimization and terrible pop in, and generally not worth anyone's money.. Ubisoft at their finest I see.

shame, it did have potential but I wont buy this and instead put the cash towards Dragon age, disappointed actually as I did enjoy black flag. Oh well... better games out there competing for my money

Who's to say you won't enjoy it? We're yet to play it yet, so we're basing our opinions on other people's opinions.

I am basing my game purchases on reviews, yes, that's why I read reviews in the first place. Note the plural in reviews.

Then I make up my mind, so far this game is mediocre at best from reviews, I don't have time for mediocre games, I've still not played Batman Asylum on the 360, so I definitely won't buy this when there are so many other games out there.

Lol at the "micro"transactions too...

$99......ubisoft are scum, makes me wonder what they'll do to the division, that's going to be hell for paying for stuff.

I'd preordered this from game using my loyalty shares. Sounds like I'll be returning it unopened.

Scrub that. Found out how to cancel on the full website.
