Assetto Corsa OcUK TT Challenge! *Season 3*

I know i can break 1.30 in the 3 eleven. Need to empty the tank, always forget. Looking at the times it's the first couple letting me down, breaking too early on the 2nd/3rd bend and not powering out on line. Not sure where the 2nd section kicks in.

I'm gonna extend this combo this until Monday. It's the original server refresh day we had in the first run, and Neverwinter and Pinkfloyd can get a chance to get some laps in if they're fortunate enough to have their rigs sorted out in time.

Seat finally came. Got a few things to sort out amidst a busy weekend, might be able to get a few laps in Saturday or Sunday.

How's your CSR getting along? I still have mine stuffed away somewhere, although it's pretty creaky and rickety and should probably be chucked.
 
I was having an issue with the accelerator where all of a sudden I'd be really slow on the straights - I'd check and it was max 80% reconnect and back up to 100 for a bit and drop again. I've stripped them, cleaned and lubricated so hopefully that's sorted.

The wheel has been fine but it has developed a little creak when turning left since moving house. I'll strip that and lubricate it too at some point.

I am waiting on the Feel VR wheel so don't want to buy anything else really.

e: That said I have a spare G25 and Fanatec Porsche GT3 wheel :p

All Fanatec pedals get that eventually. My Clubsport V1s have done it plenty of times over the years. I've gone through several load cells, a couple of circuit boards and no amount of cleaning/fiddling etc has resolved the current issue of the throttle doing the ~80% thing. I ended up using DIview to set 100% range at around 80% of the pedal travel to avoid it.

Hope you get your FeelVR before your wheel ends up like my old one. Sounds like it's starting on that path :eek: Nice to see it's still in pretty good order though :)
 
Is it the potentiometer then? I may change the potentiometers round on the clutch/accelerator if it carries on.

I hope so too but at least I have an okay backup - if need be I can just replace the motors from the GT3 wheel as the buttons are far better on the CSR.
 
In your case, I don't know, but it does sound like a dirty/faulty potentiometer. Mine uses hall sensors and magnets, which can also be affected by dirt buildup.

My Wheel Stand has arrived, I'll be on later if I don't spend all evening in the pub! In case I do spend all evening in the pub, I'll be around over the weekend! :)
 
Everything set up, put in a few laps to remember my way around the circuit and confirm Ptracker is picking me up on the leaderboard. It's seeing my lap, but currently not seeing my driver aids. Have I done something wrong at my end?

Assuming stuff like that is dangerous... It works now :D

VR + wheel is exhausting. Especially on a bumpy track I don't know brilliantly, will put some more time in over the weekend. Most of the UI apps are useless in VR too, can't many of them as they can't be scaled up in size :(

I need to improve my "cockpit" setup too. Can't get the stand into the right position with my chair or the sofa currently. Think I might have to give in and get a proper seat rather than using an IKEA poang!
 
AA and SS are your friends here, assuming you've got the GPU :) x4 and 1.4-1.6 using a 1080 (worked fine with a 980Ti too FWIW) and I have no issue reading apps.

Don't diss the Poang! :D I've been rocking one for years!
