As for the lap, it's all about exit speed on the corners. Slow in, hit the apex and fast out from mid corner is the key. It'll feel like you're going too slow, but keep an eye on your delta and you'll see the difference it makes.
Saying that, I doubt I could hit that 311 time again. It was a case of everything coming together for a one time show after a lot of annoyance...

I have @Born2BSlow to thank. His sector times made me take a good look at what I could do to improve. I still can't touch him in the E30 and Ginetta though.
 
I might have another blast in the Primera if I get chance tonight. A christening and the Monza GP kept me busy yesterday, a very good race by recent standards...

I think the Ginetta is probably the best car for this track, so stable although the E30 is probably my all time favourite car.
 
I'll try that, I did notice a few times that I wasn't losing time when I botched a few entries in to corners and probably carried more speed around and on exit.

I think those mics on the headsets aren't the loudest, I couldn't hear yourself or barely the other guy over the sound of the audio from the race. I was trying to shuffle seats to get closer to no avail, wasn't intentional:)

After doing a little research I've decided to buy a new potentiometer with cable due to the length of the clutch one being different. Should be here this week.

Hehe, I was thinking wtf? I'm there like "Hey, Lokiss! Are you on OcUK" etc, and getting completely blanked for ages :D i think I even sang a song to you at one point just to see if you'd react.
The mics are fine usually. The vid must have just been playing really loudly on your end.
You can use the tablet and click on the host's name to raise/lower the volume of their desktop stream FYI :)

BTW everyone, the server will be updated at around 6pm tonight.
 
Gotcha, honestly I was blind to all of it. I'll take the tip for future reference, normally I jump in on movies and blank stare everyone in the hope nobody talks back:)
 
You don't need to delve that deep :)
Just drop the ferrari_f50 folder into your AC cars directory and you're done.

With the 643, go into the 'AC_files' folder and drop the content folder into your main AC install folder
 
That track / car combo looks awesome! Expect I'll be on more this week, and not just because I've now had the wheel stand turn up!
 
Thanks for the update Uncle Petey. Road Atlanta's a fun track.

I don't have the reactions for & never really enjoyed formula cars, so the 643 run will be eventful!
 
I need the range because I have a heavy foot, I can unplug and plug them back in and that clears it for a bit - just winds me up. Hopefully my new pot will be here soon.

Also changed my nickname so it's the same as here.

Sorry dude, I didn't realise you were talking about the 643 SFX file... It's an optional file and I never bothered with it, hence forgetting it even existed.
You've probably figured it by now, but if you want to use it, just drop it and the GUID.txt into the 643's SFX folder and replace the originals.
 
Oh, and in other news, just a couple of quick recordings to give you an idea of how the dynamic lights and mirrors mod looks. I've been having lots of fun with this :)


Go here and click the discord invite link for the file and updates.
Just download the latest build from the updates tab (build 79 right now). Drag and drop the zip into the content manager window (Need full version of CM), click on the three stripes next to the 'about' tab when it turns green and press install.
Go to content>mods tab and activate it if necessary.

Grab Assetto4Seasons and/or AssettoByNight

The dynamic lights mod will put an 'Extension' folder in your main AC directory. Go to extension>config>smart mirror.ini to change mirror settings.
EXAMPLE:

[REAL_MIRRORS]
ENABLED=1
SHOW_CAR=1
VR_STEREO=1
VR_LOCK=0
SHOW_HEAD=1
RENDER_PER_FRAME=0 ; set it to 1 to make real mirrors refresh less frequent, but have practically zero FPS cost
RENDER_ONLY_VISIBLE=0 ; doesn’t work with virtual mirror at the moment

You can also adjust the angle and FOV of your mirrors using an app. Just activate it in your app list after installing the mod.

None of these changes are permanent and it can be deactivated easily.
