Assetto Corsa

I've not touched codemasters f1 game as I always used to get corrupt game save file issues (with 2012 i think) but I did watch gameplay from the latest game and i loved how you could switch fuel mixtures and chose your tyres for the pit stops. I found that very engaging. If kunos have something similar that engages players in career mode I'll be happy.

And weather is a big thing in F1 too... ;) I am actually very happy that Kunos have delayed the 1.0 release as it gives hope that they will put this much more into their career mode.
 
Still loving this game. Gave both the 98T and Cobra laps around Fuji, Hong Kong and Vallelunga and love the both the mods and the ability to just add them to the game. I still find the 98T on 100% boost is INSANE.
 
How do you brake in a Cobra? I find that early downshifts with heel-toe are the only way to slow the car down, pressign the brakes any harder than lightly (especially on downhill sections like after Nurb GP straights) just unsettles the back end way too much. 95% AI driving BMWZ4s are way faster than me even though I am much faster on the straights.

Still, even if most of my Cobra experience can be summed up by this vid, I'm absolutely loving it! :D (just look at its suspension, regaining grip, countersteer on aggressive launch etc... what a car! :) Wouldnt want to try one IRL though, not going fast in any case, how many owners did it kill?!

I'm finding it to be identical. The brakes are anywhere from slightly decreasing speed to almost useless and driving the MP4 makes it feel archaic. :)

Still a great laugh though!
 
Anybody running this on 3 screens and a GTX 690?

I only get 40-70% max GPU usage on either GPU and one of them doesn't even clock up to full speed unless I turn off adaptive power in the driver control panel.

Turning settings up just yields lower frame rates, rather than increasing GPU usage.
 
humm :\ that's strange. gotta say I think on my 680s I have the power set to maximum performance? still throttles when on desktop, but more keen to jump up to full whack.

try upping just the AA as I know in Arma2/3 that would make the usage jump up while doing nothing for the frames lol xD

Got this game last night on a CD key site for ~£23, couldn't complain at that price...
Was thinking of getting rid of the three monitor set-up for a while, but not anymore! :)

Using the Driving Force GT wheel, it's extremely enjoyable!
I am experiencing significant came rage, due to my inability to pull off clean laps. :(

Will just be sticking to practise mode, until I feel like I've got a good feel for how to drive correctly. First proper sim I've played since Grand Prix Legends, and I played that with a controller (filth)...

Think this game will easily justify the Oculus DK2.

The GTX670 is extremely unhappy, especially in this case... No airflow and a resolution that's on the high side for 2GB. It will just have to learn though.
 
Hi guys, just bought it myself too :D

Got an old DFP, was replaced by the DFGT but my DFP is still good!
Really enjoying it!

Is career mode supposed to be blanked out? I expect it's not done yet
 
Just picked this up today on Steam,

Loving it so far, but alas i'm stuck using the keyboard untill payday, not sure what wheel etc to go with so any advice would be awesome.

Another thing, i've maxed the game out, no issues running it but things look a little blurry, anyone able to point of what settings to use for the game it look it's best?

Last question i promise :), what, if any mods should i be downloading?

I went to play this again last night, and i think my g27 is bugged or something....

Checking the USB game controllers the Clutch is reporting a solid 100% and the buttons are not mapped properly.
Clutch pedal is responsive as when i set the option for the same axis the first 50% of travel is full brake, and then the other 50% is full gas.

is this a common problem with an easy fix ?
 
Just d/l'd the Nurburgring mod, quite well done for a mod but whenever you go at speed, any bump damages your car -.- Hit the curb? Damage. Go over a hill? Damage

Still, really good fun and there are no idiots on there who ram as if you are half-way around and ram someone, you destroy your car and starting the lap again puts you 5 minutes away again!
