Ok guys, while we wait for the Dream Pack, which is "coming soon" hopefully, I just honestly want to show you how good it's going to be.. Sure you have that modded version of the green hell, but come on, a lot of you guys are getting under 7m into the low 6m.... That's not possible at all, unless the 'simulation' is completely wrong, which it obviously is at the moment. So the Nordschleife what you're using at the moment is complete fantasy, no POSSIBLE way you will be beating world records.. Hence why have not downloaded yet.. Wait for the real thing, it's worth it ;-)

Hopefully the official version will be as dangerous and realistic like the real version, or our forums will be full of smug ******** thinking they rule The Ring


BTW this is me just drooling at a proper Nordschleife... And hopefully stopping the big-headed idiots thinking they're superman... YOU WILL NOT GET UNDER 7m.... EVER!! If you do, do not tell us, stop cheating or believing that you are the next racing superstar, and actually PLEASE for the love of god do it for real so you kill yourself and leave one less idiot for the rest of us to deal with

Don't forget about infinite lives and never ending brand new cars supply. In real life the Ring was dropped from F1 for its poor safety and high risk. Plus modded trackmay have bad geometry - it may be shorter, maybe wider in places, less bumpy, with less steep sections etc - we shall see :)

I'm not downloading the modded Nord either, also waiting for the laserscanned *real* thing :)

I don't get why you're getting so worked up that people will try and beat the world records in a game? Surely better for them to be doing this in a game that driving like a tool in real life?

What makes you think no-one will beat the records in a game, even if it was 100% accurate it can still happen. People in a game have the benefit of no fear of crashing, then can adjust the car setups at a click of a button and rack up hundreds of laps in a fraction of time than could be done in real life around the circuit. Basically.... you need to chill out :)

The modded Ring set a good benchmark, lets see how this lazer one compares to snoopy's efforts.

As for the dream pack itself, I'm not wasting any money until the game is optimised more. I still get average performance unless I turn off smoke and reflections to static. The Nismo does look good though.

Enjoying this game but even with a wheel can't seem to get a medal (fastest is 2:08 on silverstone) on either the "Thunder" or "British racing green" special event :(

Yes I find it the same. I really struggle with the GT3 cars, I think my main problem is that I don't use all the grip they have, so I go through corners a lot more slowly than I could.
 
Anyone else been having issues with fps since the latest update?

I run the game maxed out with no issues downsampled 4K, fps were averaging around 55-60fps.

Now while the fps while driving seem ok, perhaps a little low, the fps while just looking at the car before the start of a session and in replay are really low averaging around 10-18fps.

Setups are crucial for GT cars, that is another reason why I prefer road cars. Even road cars benefit from changing camber or ARB setting for example, but with GT cars set ups are too complex. Set AI to lower level, play with road cars or learn how to set up a car - 3 options :)

Also, AI, when set to 100%, are fast, only a few seconds off WR fast, so even with a good setup driving needs to be very good too.

I don't have any major FPS issues (bar setting reflections to static), but if this is true then it's a major step in the right direction. It runs really well for me IMO but this would be very welcome.

Along with getting the Dream Pack DLC out, sorting out multiplayer and other things they're probably flat out; I have no qualms with waiting for the next update :)
