Assetto Corsa

I think it's a steal really, compared to other similar wheels it's half the price.

It's only twice the price of a Fanatec CSW base V2 and a decent rim.

Yeah, totally.
It may be out of many people's price range (like the CSW), but it's still a relative bargain.

ED: I tried that Inanimate Carbon mod the other week and didn't think much of it tbh. Looks amazing in the video though.

Me doing a lap around the Nurb in an F40 Competizione.
I have no idea which game this car was converted from, but it's quality.
Everything works, from the headlights/dash illumination and functionality to the adjustable boost levels with accompanying air intake whoosh and it sounds epic :D
The only thing I can see missing are reflections in the paintwork, though I'm sure someone can find something else to get sniffy about.

It's a handful with full boost and I got by with using an adapted script from here to map a button on my wheel which let me toggle between 40-100% boost rather than having to jab at the keyboard.

View in chrome @1080p60 for best results, even though YT have done their best to make it look awful anyway :)

You can find the car here if you fancy a bash :)

Speaking of which, we're starting up a 6 round Ginetta series over here starting 1st February (Sundays with practice starting at 8pm) if anyone's interested :)
It'll be our first AC league, but we have lots of experience with running race series in other games over the years on various platforms on this and other forums.

After our winter break, we're also starting a Super GT300 series on Forza 4 in the next couple of weeks and are recruiting for new drivers to join some of our returnees from previous championships.
Signups are not open just yet, as we're finalising certain details. You can of course join in on the discussion thread to register interest and ask any questions you might have.
There are also F1 and FM5 sections (XB1) if that's your bag too. Project Cars will also feature on both console and PC when the time comes.

A little about us (StopDropGaming): Well, we focus mainly on racing and have a relaxed and friendly attitude while maintaining and promoting good driving standards and proper racing etiquette without trying to be all 'elite' and stiff about things :) Of course, rules must be adhered to.
It's mainly been console based so far, but we're looking to expand our PC racing section and the Ginetta series will be the opening event.

Slow or fast, all levels of driver are welcome. So if it sounds like your cup of tea, then check it out and give us a shout.

 - some rather good drifting.

I struggle to finish that course without completely writing off my favourite car choice (Exige V6 Cup) - but even taking it easy on there is joyous to me. :)

We'll be running a social race night with URD T5's at Hockenheim on Saturday if any of you fine gentlemen would care to join us :)
Booking starts at 7:30pm. The rest of the details can be found here

Is it just me or is this game unplayable on a 360 control pad? steering and throttle control is a nightmare!

reminds of when i tried rfactor on a control pad lol

I can manage most cars but the one time I tried the Renault (F1 car?) open wheel it was impossible.

Definitely getting a wheel eventually.

Tweak the settings on the controller, I had issue to begin with but after some fettling it became a lot more playable :)
