Are there any good graphics mods for AC?

Custom Post-Processing Filters (look under Misc on RD) affects visuals but I gave up faffing with them because they were all too dark or too bright or too bloomy. I just use the defaults or the filter that comes with the gbWSuite weather mod, which I'd also class as a graphics mod because it dramatically improves the look of the game.

I too purchased the RSS GT mod - currently my favourite series to race in the game and well worth the money for quality and enjoyment I get out of it.

I'll definitely check out some of the stuff you've listed that I haven't already got.

Yeah it's brilliant, already one of my all time favourite mods. The physics, models and sound are all top quality. The cars are all great fun, though I struggle with cold tyres on the Viper for some reason.

I bought the 3 Porsche and Ferrari dlc packs during the Summer Sale and instantly regretted not buying them sooner. They're what got me back into enjoying the sim again.

I quite like this sim, i have most racing sims out there, but i just don't get any real sense of speed with AC.

The best solution is to use higher FOV and also set your seat position further back eg. you can see more cockpit and out of side window etc.

Tried AC again yesterday after about 2 years. Enjoyed it, just need to refine the ffb on my OSW.

Downloaded (donated) for content manager, which seems a really nice way to configure and launch. Any other recommended apps for AC?

Anyone use rift with AC? Do you use any voice control such as VoiceAttack (any profiles available)? How do you set up recentre rift? I find VoiceAttack with DRE (Digital Racing Engineer) invaluable for iRacing.

Could also probably do with a recommended list of downloadable community add-ons (tracks, cars) if such a list exists.

Cheers and thanks very much

Thanks, will check out Crewchief and welcome other recmmendations.

Rather limited in choice in iracing, but normally prefer open wheelers, GTE's and LMP3s - light and more road connected feel over something too heavy/floaty

I guess the closest thing to LMP3 would be the Oreca FLM09 https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/ier-car-pack-1-uscc-mod.7348/

Aside from the great selection of Kunos F1 cars (some DLC) here's some great open wheel mods that I personally like:

Williams FW26
Ferrari 643
Williams FW31
RSR Formula 3
Williams FW14
Redbull X2010 if you wanna go nuts (ok, it's not technically an open wheeler, buuut....)
Check the spoiler tags in the OP of the TT thread for links to the above, as well as tracks like Donington, Algarve, Road America and Blackwood.

RSS Formula Hybrid (pay mod) http://racesimstudio.com/shop

There are loads of GT3 cars in the main game. For GTE, you can have a look at this https://assettomods.wixsite.com/assettomods/single-post/GTE-Pack
I haven't tried it and can't vouch for it's quality...

TRACKS

Some lovely tracks here: https://actrackrebootproject.wixsite.com/ac-track-re-boot

Search Racedepartment for tracks like Sebring, Okayama, Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen, Bridgehampton, Bilsterberg, Daytona, Riverside, Virginia Raceway (VIR) and loads of other stuff I can't remember.

APPS

Map display (shows the entire track and all the cars on it. Very useful)
Car radar or Helicorsa
AC Tracker
Multilaps

There's basically an app for all occasions, so probably best to have a good look through the list here to find what suits.

Oh, and try this, but rename it to whatever you want, as CM allows you to use whatever filter you like: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/pp-filter-for-oculus-rift-cv1.13651/
Or perhaps this https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/minimum-pp-filter.22296/

Sweet :)
Quick tip for content manager: You can install mods by simply dragging the zip into the CM window. The three horizontal stripes next to the 'about' tab will go green. Click on it and press install. Done!

It's about the same price as AC was on early access. Might as well grab it while it's cheap even if you aren't going to play it for a little while.
I probably won't do much with it until the VR support comes in.

It will be interesting to see what it's longevity is like considering the fairly limited scope.

Yeah, I'm kind of feeling the same. While I enjoy GT3's, too much of the same thing is dull.
I think I'm more interested in the day/night/weather engine, updated physics and online functionality.

It's best to look at this as a limited test bed for AC2.
