Assetto Corsa

I think the AI has improved, but it still needs a lot of work. I only tried a GT3 race at Monza and the first chicane was a disaster. They were also slow on the exit of the Ascari chicane.
 
Ai is good for a laugh sometimes,first lap on imola I find special,several times seen whole field take each other out!so many cars going in different directions across dirt you can't see for the dust cloud :D

I'm using 14.3 beta drivers, and these CCC settings...Forget the ACS.EXE profile, was just trying various thing before I got crossfire sorted, now even though i keep trying to delete said profile, it doesn't disappear from the custom profile list. Just ignore it.

I found that I had to use HDR to get both my cards usage to 90% each. Also until I selected Super Sampling AA in CCC it also would not use both my gpus to 90%. I have every singe graphic setting turned up to the max in the game video settings, apart from medium cube resolution and 4 faces per frame. With all these settings, this is the only way I could get both GPU's using all of their potential, all a bit weird really. But game looks absolutely stunning anyway now, and getting 75fps limited, dips to 60fps during 24 car grid, but other than that it's very solid.

Cheers for that, but still no joy I'm afraid.

I can get varying degrees of usage across 2-3 cards, but it's still 'lumpy' (stutter isn't the right word) and I get higher and more consistent fps with a single card.
Still, with supersampling, I can get an average of around 55fps on a 24car grid at Nurburgring with a single 290 @1200/1600.

The 7970 rig gives me 'acs.exe has stopped working' every time I try to launch a race for some reason, so I don't know how they're getting on...
 
Hi, what's the cheapest place to buy this? £30 is a bit steep I feel, for a game that doesn't even include multiplayer as of now. Cheers :)
 
Some CD key resellers have had it for sale for around £22, worth checking those or wait for Steam Easter sale, I'd they have one, it's been on sale a few times now for £19.99.
 
Well got a couple of hot laps in today, took the E30 round Imola and Mugello, got inside the top 200 for both. Not a great achievement but without any drivers aids on I'm impressed to a degree.
 
g27 has been dispatched cant wait!. This game is the only reason I bought it lol. Spent more hours on this game than any other game this year but using a controller isn't always fun.

Hope you have strong wrists, the FF nearly broke mine.

Get some ideas for settings together before hand. The G27 is amazeballs but the FF is a killer.
 
Very strong wrists lol. been a drummer for 15 years which probably wrecks your wrists more than any FF can. Cant wait to try it though.
Saved quite a few of peoples settings so will try them out and see what works best for me.

Banged £500 on the credit card recently to help out with all the bad luck im having, so really can't pile any more on it. Game isnt going to be released for a while yet, will get one but really can't justify it at the moment :( Will just keep using my Modena 360 and pedals for the time being, it does the job.
 
Logitech profiler 101% FF everything else 0

Ingame use the stock G25 setup from the pre configed list and just slightly tweak it. Drop the very bottom 3 settings down kerb and road i have about 10-20% and slip 0-20%

The Gain I bring down to around 60-80% depending on the car. Thats it the stock setup isnt bad if you load it from the list. I only needed to tweak it.
 
so overall effects strength 101%....spring effect strength 0% and damper effect strength 0%?

is it possible to get the RPM indicator lights on the G27 to work with this game? There not working at the moment so im wondering if theres something I need to do?

iv been using the G27 setting suggested by the developer.. they have spring effect and damper effect strength both at 100 and you have them at 0...any reason for that?

Also do you know how to get the LED lights on the wheel to work to show when to shift change ect.

Started using g27 couple of weeks ago,great with assetto,I use devs g27 settings then adjust bits to suit in game,gain I keep at 60% though I need to check as been unable to play for a few days.
Don't think wheel lights work in assetto,sure I read that somewhere?

I followed advice from some very fast dudes on LFS forums, and had bad experience with spring and damper in previous sims like LFS and even NFS:Shift2 (spit) became at least vaguely playable only when I disabled them by chance. Rad and Slip effects set to high lead to g27 making loud knocking sounds, and they interfere with drifting feel, so I set them low for that reason.

LEDs dont work in AC right now, but to me they are too bright and distracting so I turn them off in Iracing where they do work. I think there was some app/program that made them work with AC as well, but cant remember its name. Fanaleds? Not sure.
