Phanteks not taking your face, personally quality is far better then EK - will be interesting to see how EKWB turn out their heads of department have left and signed up to Corsair .
Drop Phanteks a message and ask about the Caps at the end. Looks like the metal blocks stops at the VRM and plexiglass glass covers over the last section of the PCB at height and doesn't clash with them . The RGB and ability to use backplate is better then EK imo

ok I think I've decided on the final parts list,

here it is, how would I connect all the RGB so it all syncs up

Motherboard Block EK-FB GA Z270/Z370 GAMING RGB MONOBLOCKRadiator EK-COOLSTREAM XE 360
Pump EK-XRES 140 REVO D5 RGB PWM (INCL. PUMP)
Connectors EK-ACF FITTING 10/13MM - RED
Tubing EK-DURACLEAR TUBING 13/10 - CLEAR 3M
Fluid MAYHEMS AURORA 2 RED 1LTR
Fans Corsair ML120 Pro RGB 120mm Premium Fan with Lighting Node - Triple Fan Pack
Accessories XSPC PSU BRIDGING CONNECTOR

anyway to make it cheaper without affecting performance/cooling

Aurora 2 is a short term fluid, mainly for show. Lasts a lot longer then first gen but wouldn't run it longer then 2 weeks personally

I'm on my 3rd litre of XSPC EC6 premixed fluid, I first water-cooled 8 years ago, so that's my vote

thanks, couple more questions

1. I'm thinking of how to mount the pump, I'm thinking to the bottom of the case
2. what fans if I want good cooling and do I need any exhaust fans

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £490.55 (includes shipping: £10.50)

Missed out the fan connection and jump plug but has RGB Res/pump and Phanteks halo RGB which bolts into the fans to give rgb

Personally prefer silent wing 3s but they do cost £20 a pop , 1200rpm version I run at full speed , 2200rpm at 80% - near silent :)
