There is always going to be a hottest spot on a piece of hardware, that's not indicative of overall temperatures or how much energy is being expelled.

Great video.

It's very much a case of electronic satanic panic in this instance I feel. There's many reasons to be mad at Nvidia but the argument the OP is making absolutely is not one of them.

Having hot spot temps available is really, really nice if you know what you're dealing with and need to troubleshoot but this is absolutely not that.
