Anyone having problems with AstraWeb? 19:38 Saturday?

Sorted it now changed the address to:

eu.secure.news.astraweb.com

the one i was using was:

europe.news.astraweb.com

Also ssl-eu.astraweb.com works fine for me.

As well as that, I sometimes I have random problems when using SSL with AstraWeb + GrabIt for some reason...

Try running stunnel instead of using GrabIt's inbuilt SSL option - works well here

I've always had problem running the SLL option, works when I take it off. I've personally been running it without for many years, is there really a need to enable it now?

Not really. I'm just paranoid.

Although Usenet is a plaintext protocol so if you're using it for the dodgy stuff in alt.binaries then you should certainly consider it, I'd imagine that Usenet will be where the media companies will target when they're done with torrents.

Anyone currently having problems with astraweb? I have been using it fine and the suddenly i am noticing in the log it is getting messages about username or password being incorrect.

Astraweb is working fine here, although a little slow since I am throttled.

Mine starts fine then keeps saying ive reached my connection limit.

It's very stop start from here too. And mostly stop, with repeated connection timeouts.
At least it's not just me...

Everyone here using the eu-ssl server i assume? anyone tried the others to see if the problem persists or if it is limited to just the eu-ssl server?

Yes, I am. Not tried any others yet (and probably won't try others unless it's still broken tomorrow).

I always seem to have connection problems with the SSL server so I'm currently using the normal ones.

I'm getting the 'Error - Authentication Failed' message for everything at the moment.

Might just leave it until tomorrow to see if it resolves.

ssl-us.astraweb.com down for any one?

Not working here getting 58% packet loss but there US servers are fine

Seems to be back up. Was only down a few mins
