I was wondering that, and thinking that perhaps its not actually idling, but its up to something in the background. Afterburner's graphs would detail this. But we havent seen any screenshots or videos from MrFunko

Looks fine to me just not great silicon lotto - like mine will hit the power limit at stock at almost any 100% GPU usage scenario. Left at stock the speeds will often be sub 1900 in demanding games. Higher resolutions also use more power in my experience. Even undervolting and the odd game (such as new Metro Exodus) will still hit the power limit (340W max for me) and cause the clocks to drop a bit.
As for OC vs non OC version I would not be surprised if they are 100% identical cards even the GPU bin with the only difference being the BIOS installed.

Hey, just an update on this and thanks for the concern and advise once more. Like I said at stock the frames and power usage is just not right with the card freezing up in games. It’s not normal behaviour haha.
Turns out they received my card back on Friday and shipped me a new straight away.
Arriving Monday.
Fingers crossed we’ll see how it performs.

Most companies keep a set amount aside specifically for RMAs which is why I was happy to send back.

Hey. I know it’s more than a year late. So new card came and still seems to say VOp at stock with no afterburner installed. Game also stutters and glitches out. Got 5900x and 32GB of vengeance RAM. So odd. I just don’t get it. I have a top system so it’s just very strange.
