Asus P5W DH Deluxe - doesn't support Conroe out of box?

I'm thinking of getting this board for a E6600, so have a few questions...

Are you guys getting good overclocks with it? on Ananadtech they hit 4ghz with this board with the X6800, E6700 and a E6600 on AIR! is anyone getting 4ghz?

Also does this board support retail Conroes out of the box? it probably says already in this thread but it's gotten long and i'm lazy...

hey mate i have this board and a e6300 ant the max ive got is 400fsb, cant seem to get the memory to run 1-1 either you got any tips ?? also you havnt volt modded the board haveyou ?? :D

No, ive not volt modded it.

Vmch - 1,65v
PCI-E - 110Mhz
PCI - 33Mhz

Try booting with FSB at 410, 420, 430, 440, 450 as mine wont boot between 410 and 417 maybe yours has a different 'black spot'. Try upping your Vmem to say 2.1v and manually set the timings in the chipset part of bios to 4-4-4-8.

i've got nearly the same spec as hannibal2381 except i got a bfg 7900gt and have the same problem, my memory is running 1:1 though

yes he is but is over 400fsb, which is why the question is being asked, 6300's seem to be getting to 500fsb on other boards and the answer is undoubtably the vmch
