Asus Realbench 2.0

Ah got you, mines at 43, because of that guide it said to keep it a bit below cpu freq, I could try at 44.

i7 4790k @ 4.7ghz 1.26v
16gb @ 2400mhz

edit: think i can get higher, as I didnt touch uncore settings. Not sure what to set it at though as I just left things on Auto and only enabled XMP for memory and upped cpu volts to 1.26.

If it can run this and BF4, its stable
I've ran prime for hours before and all seemed stable, ran a game and it falls over, so i never bother with that anymore.

Totally agree, definately a great tool.
For short periods i could run 10 minutes of prime95 and intel stress test but as i opened up realbench crash was a matter of seconds. Realbench required always at least +0.02/+0.03 more vcore.
10 runs of realbench is a good stability sign for me.

Thinking of posting my results - when i get to it ... need to borrow a better graphics card to keep up with you guys :) .

My second, (and current in sig) 4790k. Quick and dirty 4.7ghz oc on 1.3200 vcore in bios. So maybe could drop that a bit with luck.

Ram at XMP of 2400mhz, 10-11-11-31, 2T, cache at stock of 4000mhz. Temps a bit higher than id like so might stick this one in a vice and hit the lid a good slap.

Are people still using this? I'm giving it a run to see how far I can push my 5930k and just wondering what the consensus is on how good this benchmark is for testing an OC.

Note: I'm running the benchmark, not the stress test.

Scoring 137,272 best so far.

It's ok, gives you a quick look to see if your clock is stable. I usually run for 3 passes but then i got blue screen last night playing the division so had to up the voltage a bit.

It's a hell of a lot more realistic than all that prime number burning nonsense.

This is actually doing tasks your PC is likely to do on a daily basis.

I couldn't manage 4.5 with 1.25v so 4.4 it is. I'll batter through some gaming and video editing for some proper testing, but Realbench was indeed a quick indicator.

Also use it for a bit of fast OC testing. Especially recently, when my machine had a small spate of Boinc errors popping up (it couldn't find anything wrong though). Although I'm slightly a bit perplexed as to why I'm getting in the region of 120000-125000 (124315) for the benchmark score, which seems a bit high for a 4930k rig at 4.25Ghz only. Comparing to some of the older posts and ranking boards, my rig seems to be hitting numbers it shouldn't be. Only just slightly behind Don stulid's 5960x rig of 125808 (~1500) for example.

I5 750 at 4.1 ghz she'll probably break 90k at 207 fsb + had her for donkeys years

Suprisingly close overall score to much newer better cpus.

That's a pretty good score for that chip.
