Asus ROG PG32UCDM - 4k OLED 240hz

Ah yeah I get that too, with a sprinkling of chromatic aberration thrown in if I tilt my head up and then look down without moving back to center. Mostly wear contacts now so I don't have to deal with it

WOW the price of this monitor has jumped up big time

There no way i would have paid that much for mine with it not having DP 2.1

Don’t know if this is normal but when switching the monitor on using the button, it’s taking two presses to come on most of the time.

So i still cant make up my mind , this or the Alienware AW3225 QF ? Suggestions ?

I have a large enough desk and want a twin screen set up , im not opposed to the curve of the Alienware ( can get it with a Blue Light discount ) but could i place a 27 oled screen alongside it , this would be a cheaper model for discord , tube and browsing ?

Help

its a difficult decision. Maybe the Alienware due to cost. I cant see any issue with having a 27' next to it though

If we're ignoring the curve, the 2 things that would stick out to me are whether you want to use the aspect ratio control, so you can simulate a 27" display and get a bit more FPS out of it for competitive games (Asus only) and Dell's warranty, which assuming works as intended, they'll advance replace your monitor in the event of an issue.

Both are more or less the same size as each other, so 1 isn't overly better than the other at being paired with another monitor.

This isn't exclusive to Asus (Gigabyte offer it too) - but it's also something that you can just do yourself on any monitor.

On a 4k 32" to simulate a 27" display you just create a custom resolution of 3288 x 1850, then you can use something like DisplayFusion to bind it to a hot key (Alt + Shift + F12, for example) and it will swap from full 4k 32" to the 27" cropped view.

I did this on my LG 32" 4k for a while whenever I was playing FPS games.

I've had both and the VRR flickering was awful on the Alienware, I got this for £875 and very pleased with it, VRR flicker isn't bad at all on this. The AW I couldn't live with, was horrendous. The ASUS feels much better built as well imo.

Today I learned! Thanks for the info :D

So far this is a great monitor ,I’ve updated the firmware and the hdr10 in console mode with dynamic brightness boost works really well .I'm coming from a Dell and I learned that I don’t really like curved monitors .
