Asus ROG PG32UCDM - 4k OLED 240hz

So I landed an order for one of these which I was pretty happy with, was a nice deal. But the more I read about cleaning QD OLEDs and how easily they apparently seem to scratch up, I am getting worried having to deal with that. Read about people doing everything as they are supposed to, microfiber cloth dampened with distilled water, and somehow still manage to cause microscratches on the panel. And they're apparently just that much more vulnerable than the regular OLED I am used to from my TV?

I think you want to go with the sort of flatter ‘glasses cleaning’ cloth without ‘knobbles’, rather than the micro fibre cloths that are typically available from supermarkets and are used for generic cleaning.

As long as you take some care, which it sounds like you will do, then just forget about trying to keen it perfect - nobody is able to do this.

Isn’t the idea that it turns off if it doesn’t detect anything within that range. As in, it’ll turn off after you move away from the monitor, not when you sit still.
But how does it know it me there and not just the high back of my chair

I don’t know, but test it out and see if it can tell the difference, that’s all that matters.

Perhaps it detects something has ‘moved away’.

LOL think yourself lucky as I also have a 65 inch QD Oled to keep clean

This reminds me it needs cleaning again :(

Cleaned my other 65” W-OLED yesterday only to watch my dog put all it paw prints all over it again about an hour later after he saw a hamster on the TV

Does anyone know if the asus display widget center has to be running all the time? Or just when I want to change some settings without fiddling with the nipple ;)
No you don't need to have the display widget running all the time
