Asus ROG PG32UCDM - 4k OLED 240hz

Have I been using color settings wrong ?

I've had my c9 set to 10 bit color in Nvidia control panel for 6 years even when playing sdr content
No as this problem only meant to been happening due to one of the latest windows updates

But noticed that reddit post says it one month old

The Dell is a great deal and I almost went for that myself to be honest, the only thing putting me off and I'm sure it won't be a problem is that it has a fan for the cooling. I did like that it had the e/ARC HDMI port though.
I've had one for just over a week and have sent it back to Amazon. If left in standby, it would switch itself of anf then I'd have to unplug it for up to 24 hour before it would work again. Not turning on at all now so contacted Dell this morning who advised I return it to Amazon. Back to square one now.

Maybe try one of these Asus OLED's ;)

Loving mine so far :) (But i wouldn't like to try using Asus warranty if it was ever needed)

Must admit I'm the same. It is a superb monitor and now I'm used to the size I'm not missing the 42" LG at all.

Seen it has been reduced today, are there any new models coming out soon that are worth holding for? Will take me forever to get a 5090 at this rate so no rush if something is out in a few months

This is a pretty solid buy. 4K@240Hz is more than what most systems can do and these Gen 3 panels are pretty good as long as non of the QD-OLED quirks bother you.

I'm waiting to see what the new LG panels with standard RGB looks like, mainly be cause I need to use the monitor for work too, otherwise I'd get this.

Any guesses when they will be available?

I'd imagine Q2 at the earliest - there's been no official word from Samsung (that I've seen), but the last mention was first half of 2025.

LG probably end of the year/start of 2026 for the pure RGB panels.

Yeah, even though I'm using the current LG 4k 32" 240hz dual mode OLED I am definitely waiting for the standard RGB OLEDs on their roadmap and would swap to those pretty much right away.

I'm also maybe in the minority group of preferring 1440p to 4k. I can see that 4k is better, I just prefer gaming at 1440p. So if LG release a nice high refresh (360-480hz) 1440p panel with a standard RGB layout then I'd go down that route.

Am guessing a new 4K 32” model with display port 2.1 will be coming out sooner or later but I have no idea when

I definitely prefer playing FPS games at 1440p (27"), but 4K feels like a necessary evil for text clarity with OLED - I would get the adaptive/dual-mode monitors if I had to buy now. Hopefully that'll all settle with the standard RGB layout.

Changed it from 10bit to 8bit as you say and the colours look far more vibrant! Cheers
What pewpew posted fixes it

You need to turn it off after changing the colour to 10-bit

See mrk post as well
Thanks to a comment on reddit, this is now fixed!

If you are in 8-bit mode then the automatically manage colours for apps setting is off by default, it only turns on when switching to 10-bit, so you just have to turn that off. Seems this toggle got activated recently somehow, maybe from the recent Windows feature update as Ive had 24H2 since launch and never saw an issue until this recent Patch Tuesday:

I Posted this in the Alienware thread

Another W11 24H2 problem with my Asus monitor is that it doesn't wake up again after windows sleep/screen off
This only happens when using the HDMI connection and you have the W11 24H2 update installed

Am using the HDMI connection on mine at the moment but am going change it to the display port connection
