ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-E GAMING WIFI owners thread***

I have the Asus B650E-F but I believe it uses the same LAN as the "E" version. Is anybody else having problems with the LAN constantly dropping the connection? I have never had this problem with any other board, ever, and this is a bloody nightmare. One minute it's fine the next it's lost the connection to the internet and I get sorry, can't connect to that site messages and the only way to get it back is to shut down the pc, turn off at the wall then turn back on and reboot and the connection will be back for a variable length of time until it drops it again. Just in the last 30 minutes it's dropped the connection three times. I have the latest drivers installed from Asus website. Has anybody found a workaround at all? At this rate I will just buy another board that doesn't have Intel LAN which is a shame as the board itself is very good. Before someone says buy a LAN card, I can't as I don't have space for it (I have a non standard case with the gpu on a riser sat in a shroud over the pci-e slots).
I had the same problem, I got a USB 1Gb NIC and disabled the Intel one in the BIOS. I have since switched rooters and gone back to the Intel and it worked fine for a bit, then started up again. I now use a 1Gb port on the router instead of the 2.5Gb port and it been ok, so-far. The Intel NIC is just garbage, ASUS must get them real cheap to keep using them.

Trying a different cable is one of the first things I did. The cables is straight from the Router and connected to a 1Gb slot as that's all the router has. I did hear there were some problems but I thought by this time they would have been solved. Lesson learnt, avoid Intel networking garbage. New board or RMA and new board as I have no faith in these anymore.
RMA is a real pain, £10 for a USB NIC is the easiest option. It's not ideal but it works.
