** ASUS ROG SWIFT G-SYNC 27" 144Hz GAMING MONITOR NOW IN STOCK!! **

People moaning about it not being IPS. I'm going to guess that becuase there isn't a 1 ms gsync 144hz ips panel on the market it's not achievable and when it is it wouldn't be this cheap, and you'll all moan about that too.

That said it is a tad expensive for me I won't be upgrading yet but it's certainly more tempting than the weak 4k efforts so far.

Hi there

OK after last night sales, we now have only 20 units left from our first batch which has an ETA of end of July.

When this first batch is sold out I will let you know and also change the ETA on the website. :)

Its only this price because a certain amount of people will pay it and as for limited numbers, that's deliberate by Asus to justify the price, they could easily have produced loads and released it much cheaper but why do that when you have a bunch of 'must haves' who will pay silly money. However, I have to say, its their money to spend as they wish so cant criticise really. Asus though, for me, have a very poor rep for customer service\rma\warranty recently and don't appear to be addressing the problem, it looks like they don't give a damn, so bit of a cheek by Asus really charging way over the odds for what is essentially a decent 1440p monitor with gsync. Also no reviews would make me more than a little nervous. Just my take, good luck to those who take the plunge, you are the guinea pigs, no offense. :)

It's not so much moaning not being IPS, but more about the price premium remains despite it is TN panel, even if it was 144Hz 2560 res one.

I actually do not think its deliberate, AOC also have limited stock. I think the issues is not the manufacturers but is actually down to NVIDIA not being able to produce the G-Sync modules fast enough, which would make sense considering the first G-Sync monitor was hand built and always sold out due to lack of G-Sync modules available, as the monitor without G-Sync was always available.

So I suspect it is NVIDIA who are not able to go into full mass production yet in serious volumes.

the 240 hz ips eizo is £500 for a 1080p

sure Asus are probably taking advantage a bit but that's the perks of first to market.

My main thought is that while you think 700 is expensive if it was an ips panel it would be over £1000.

True, DELL 30" is still £1000 and is 60Hz, does not had 3D or G-Sync.

Oh man, I'm so close to hitting the the buy button but my sensible head keeps saying wait for reviews. I mean on paper (I'm an avid gamer mostly) this is my dream monitor, can I hold out...

BTW given that this is a g-sync enabled monitor will my single 780ti be enough for it? (bearing in mind I want my Witcher 3 with all the bells and whistles!)

Well They better ramp up that gsync module production before we get DP1.2a that includes freesync because their market dies there. Seki are already producing DP1.3 monitors for Q1 2015 so I am guessing we'll get 1.2a before we get 1.3.

That may ultimately be why they are not mass producing because they know that gsync is a limited run technology and is about to get replaced by a free standard in 6 months.

Agreed, i know people say you can keep waiting for new tech and it's better to buy now rather than later. But not in cases like this where it's something new and yet to have competition.

Early next year will be interesting, especially on pricing i would think.
