Asus ROG X570 Crosshair Dark Hero Release? *** NO Competitor Talk ***

That's the place.

Yeap. Sent them an email today to see if they know what's up (the store I mean, not dpd). They pretty much replied generically that dpd is really busy and probably not updating the shipping and tracking due to high number of orders and that it should be here the next few days. Can't really say that I am not feeling that something is off that it's been stuck at a small czech town for 4 days now. I could probably understand if it was a major hub or through state post. Oh, well. What more can we but wait for now....

Ah cheers, well at least if others are in the same position then hopefully it's just a delay rather than being lost.

Still setting up.

Chipset according to HWInfo is essentially always 62.5c. Managed to OC my 3466mhz 16-18-18-36 4x16gb to 3600mhz 16-18-18-36 @ 1.395v, need to test stability now. Can't post with 3800 c16 @ 1.45v, need to try c18 at some point.

Had to disable c-states because opening/closing apps too quickly would cause it to crash, might re-enable C-States and add a voltage offset see if that helps but c-states enabled.

Managed to set it up and running without a hitch which I was extremely surprised. One quick question though. I've connected some argb fans on the argb headers. In armoury crate and aura creator there is no option anywhere to control leds indivindual or in zones. Neither for the memory. Is this how it's supposed to be? Otherwise what's the different then between standard RGB if the end result is the same?

Edit: Also my fans are 3 pins, but their speeds are not detected at all. However I can hear them randomly ramp up and down (I think it's them and not the AIO, not sure though, edit: double checked, seems to be the AIO ramping up and down), them being 3 pins shouldn't their speeds be reported?

Edit2: Actually it seems they are 4 pins but only 2 wires go the actual header
https://aerocool.io/product/duo-12/
It's them here. Is something missing and I get no reported speed?

further edits: I think there's no solution about the fans, from lots of gathering i managed to do, they can be setup by voltage control to reduce their speed based on the temp of another component but in the form of percentage (which Qfan for whatever reason decided to put one of the fans to completely stop at less than 30c and I thought that one fan was busted with random start and stop)

About the rgb I think asus changed some stuff in the their newer aura software and it's like they removed any sort of functionality of addressable rgb etc, you can't even control independently your multiple ARGB headers. nonsensical..

Managed to get mine up and running however I feel I have a problem with the bottom most M.2 slot. Sometimes the SSD dissappears from Windows and the BIOS and I have to remount it in order to get it to show again in BIOS and Windows.

I also noticed on the heatsink for the SSD it looks like there is a silver washer around the screw on one side and the other side doesn't... Not sure if it's just mine. What's even more odd is if I put the heatsink back on, it more than likely doesn't show up, but if I mount it lightly i.e not as screwed fully it shows. It's working now but I'm afraid to go near the slot just in case it doesn't show again.

Finally set mine up today but couldn't get my new psu yet so I'm running with just the one 8pin power connector as I don't have another 4pin to go with it, the manual reckons it should be alright.. let's hope so :D

Check that the m.2 heatspreader isn’t causing the m.2 drive to flex. I swear I read about another user that had this issue and had to replace the thermal pads but for the life of me I can’t find the source. I thought it was Reddit, but it may have been elsewhere. I’ll keep looking.

Managed to get mine set up on Saturday and all seems good. Only using the 8 pin connector and not using the additional 4 pin connector but I understand that is fine unless doing extreme overclocking.

To enable PBO - do I simply enable it in the bios and that’s it? Also, does anyone know if this board has PBO2 yet?

Go into advanced settings (right of extreme tweaker), down to pbo, accept, +200. (assuming you're not enabling curve). Can also change power limit to motherboard should you wish.

I'm not the person you may or may not have read about, but I observed that the lower M.2 heatsink caused the drive to bend. I solved that by simply not tightening the screws completely, rather than replacing the thermal pad.

Yeah, don't know why but rog bios has pbo under extreme and advanced. Only difference seems to be extreme has fmax and boost needs manually entered rather than selecting 25mhz bins.

I have DOC setup, but shortly after logging into Windows it switches to all core and locks there. Seems DOC is broken at the moment. I've sent an email to Asus about it
