did you have to make any BIOS changes to get it to work? When I put 4 sticks in I received a 0D message on the onboard LCD and it went no furtherI'm using 4 sticks of the 8pack 3200cl14 using xmp without any problem on bios 3202.

Trust me Anybody, I had two different x570 boards with a 5800x and 5900x.
After so many days and hours, they did perform a bit worst than my old 8700k@5ghz and z370.
Both systems tweaked with rams, same gpu and so many tests, games, benchmarks.
The 5900x just killed in everything the 8700k. But not in gaming.
It's around 3-5fps less in games at 4k. At 4k we are gpu bound. But I set up my 3090 kingpin at the same speed in afterburner to make equal the comparison and the results are very steady in gaming.
If you also do productivity then go for 5900x. If you game like me go intel.
I'm heading for a asus z490 Maximus xii extreme or the z590 Maximus hero. I have a deal for the extreme from 899€ to 540€. Same price but the z590 is newer...
My 3080 works fine with my dark hero and two M.2's on the board a pci4 in the first slot and a pci 3 in the second slot.
I've had a number of usb issues since getting the board. the main one I had was with my ROG mouse and keyboard, resolved that by connecting them to a usb hub instead of the back usb connectors. Though still sometimes there are glitches with the USB ports.
Ive just had to set my new 3090 to Gen3 on a Dark Hero board!
Ive also got a Gen4 M.2 in my top slot.
Have any of you guys also experienced the USB disconnect issue when using Gen4 PCIE?
Loads of mentions of it but nothing from the manufacturers: PCIe Gen 4 causes USB problems on B550/X570 (asus.com)
My friend has this issue on his gigabyte board, I don't have any issues but my m.2 is only gen3.
His issue only happens though when adobe starts taxing his system.
have just updated to 3204, all seems stable so far, only changes i made in the bios was to enable DOCP, resizable BAR on and set the ASUS performance mode.New bios 3204. Description the exact same as the previous. God knows what's changed.
Good luck, let us know how you get on with the new bios.have just updated to 3204, all seems stable so far, only changes i made in the bios was to enable DOCP, resizable BAR on and set the ASUS performance mode.
I Think the only difference between this and the previous version is that this one is not a beta version.
Will try tomorrow to install my other 32gb of ram to see if it now will accept the 4 * 16GB sticks that I've previously had issues with.

What is "Asus Performance Mode" ? you mean the PBO ?
That's a shame, have four sticks to go into my Dark Hero, was hoping you would have some success with the new bios.Took my desk case apart to try the other 2*16GB of ram to add onto what is already in there after the BIOS update and still fails to boot with Od error also tried loosening off my AOI as someone had mentioned that having that oo tight can flex the motherboard. Looks like I won't be able to get 64GB working on the board via 4*16GB sticks, so will put the 2*16GB ram up for sale.

it could just be something about the memory I'm using and you may have more success than me.
On the positive side I've not experienced any issues with this new BIOIS, not crashes/blue screens/systems issues etc. All seems to work well.
