How old are you Lashout? I'm only a baby at 19 so I'm got no chance even though I'd only be interested in a road risk only policy (I wouldn't claim on theft anyway).
I have heard that a few years ago it was far easier to sort something out, but a few idiots of a similar sort of age as me decided that it'd be the ideal way of driving souped up cars that they'd not have a hope in hell insuring correctly. Of course they kept on crashing and as such they either won't quote you, or impose tiny engine restrictions. I do believe that I'm on the work policy during working hours, but that's for 1.6 cars - Given the smallest commonly available engine we have is a 4.4 it isn't much help!
Shame "previous experience" isn't counted for as I've got more a bit more experience with quick cars that one would expect given my age. I'm Far from an expert, but It's not like I'm coming from driving 1.25 Fiestas, is it?
When I do look at trading properly I'll almost certainly buy a tow car + trailer/recovery truck and collect cars that way, as I doubt a trade policy with the cover that I want (I.E zero restrictions other than value) is going to happen much before I'm 25.
Oh, decided that the Soarer is saying, but I'll be bidding farewell to my (t)rusty 205 GTI instead
