We could pass that total tonight in the Taekwondo. but even if we don't it'll happen tomorrow as Joyce is guaranteed at least a Silver in the boxing.
 
Both Thiam and Johnson-Thompson would have won the Women's High Jump today if they entered and replicated their Heptathlon effort.s

I've been thinking about that too but the first logic fail is that the Russians were serial dopers before we start the analysis - they were banned for a very good reason and we should be suspicious of all past successes.

That being said we then check over past medals for other nations - the USA, Germany and the GB are achieving very similar medal hauls - the notable exception is China which is achieving less not more. We have been quite weak in Athletics this time from a top medal perspective because of Long Jump and Heptathlon - it was only athletics affected by the ban and we only have one more medal in athletics this time 7 vs 6 in 2012.

At this point there is no notable crossover with the British who have less gold medals than in 2012 and only a small increase in total medals.

It seems as though Russian medals are being evenly distributed at the moment but not with the British.

PRetty much, Semenya is a simply for sure certainty, Wambui, not only looks male but just got that medal on pure power, nothing else. Her running was literally awful, she looks awkward, no efficiency, looks like a bad male runner who couldn't compete with the men at all but because she can compete in this event can still get a medal.

Silver looked by far the least male of the three, but both her time and still how masculine she looked makes me think something fishy there too.
