ATI 5870 flash to bypass 900/1300 limit

Anyone reflashed their MSI R5850 Twin Frozr II yet? :D

I cba to contact MSI support but they're supposedly send the latest BIOSes upon request. Could do with one that has no overclocking limits in CCC, Afterburner profiles cause my PC to crash at higher clocks.
 
I got a 5870 vapor x rev 1, with black pcb. Been lookng round and from the sounds this one has voltage control.Anyone successfully flashed one of these?
Holding my hand like a baby would be very much appreciated,never tried this kind of thing before and not in a position to replace it yet!

If you were to use Sapphire TriXX, it'd unlock the voltage control on it.
 
I'm new to flashing a GPU. Having read this thread I now have all the files to do my XFX 5870. What core, memory and voltage settings should I use when I've flashed it? Is there a magic set that works or is it trial and error?

Hi,

I just tried flashing my xfx 5870's and had no problems along the proccess. But when i try to clock past the 900/1300 limit it still doesnt let me. Followed all steps and the messages in DOS say that the flash was successful. :/

Any ideas why this is happening? thanks.
