People moaning:rolleyes:

You get what you deserve making such a big purchase as soon as released, every website makes mistakes. IF everyone was not being a fool rushing in buying a overpriced bit of kit, then less mistakes would have been made.

Shrewd people will sit it out a few weeks and wait for better versions to pop up, more stock and few quid lower.

Enjoy the extra 2 weeks gaming you get with it, thats if they all work;)

That does look pretty sweet Nelly, and should clock well to :D
I've only had my 4890 vapor-x about a month but I dont care, I'm glad I bought it because it's made me want to buy the 5870 vapor-x their that good - TOTALLY QUIET!!!!

Auto is 39% but I can put it too 60% with no change in loudness, anything over that then it gradually builds, so its very good.

not exactly a GTX295 killer, but do fall rather close in DX10... no idea about DX11, I m guessing it would easy take it, not bad at all for a single card

so maybe once the drivers clam down a bit and price drop off a bit ATI may hit on something big there.

but yeah
I m staying with my HD4890s for a good while longer

*edit* that vapor x looks SWEEEEET :D

Wow at that vapor X. Might have to reconsider my 5850 purchase if that thing is quiet, OC's well and around the same price point.

Lets face it even if it is overpriced its only by about 20 quid, tell you what i'll have a few less beers this weekend then :p

I sent a webnote early this morning asking them to switch me to a sapphire if the XFX weren't actually in stock, since I ordered this morning before they posted the news and got the following reply.

So if that's true why have I still not got an e mail saying it's being shipped, or ready to be shipped?

As they never had any stock of XFX's. :(

As they never had any stock of XFX's. :(

Hence me asking to be swapped to a sapphire if that was the case, the sapphire cards were still in stock then. But they didn't do that because apparently they had some XFX's which it doesn't look like they did.

Was kinda pointless me sending the webnote if they aren't actually going to act on it and instead just lie to me instead.

That vapo one does look pretty sweet. I think ill wait on that one myself.

@nutter how can you say people deserve to be treated this way?
If people have the money to purchase an item at the current price then what right do you have to call them fools?
Granted early adopters are going to get problems but thats usually from the product itself not from the place of purchase. What is at stake here is the reputation of the retailer in question, not the product. The issue is with the retailer and not the person who purchases the said product.
Say everyone was as "shrewd" as you, there would be no sales untill the price of the product went down. That happens with supply and demand... Let the rich buy so the poor can reap the rewards.

When did you get VTX cards? I'd never heard of them before, then they just started popping up. How are they?
Here you go . . .

TUL Corporation who are best known for their VGA card brand Powercolor, have started a new company called "VTX". Like Powercolor it will sell ATI based graphics cards, but initially focuses on markets like Russia and Turkey.

The cards will be priced extremely competitive and based on custom PCB designs which will help reduce the cost.
Not even really cheaper, dont see the point.

Oh god, i'm steering clear of VTX then as there won't be any customer service to go with the cards.

Sapphire Vapor-X Yum Yum...glad I didn't buy a stock 5870...

Same here - i ordered a powercolour card on the grounds that it was the only one showing an ETA of today which originally overclockers confirmed this morning around 9.30am should be received today. They then say that it's now going to be monday. I would have rather ordered the XFX one probably for the same price had i known they would all be monday.

Remember the mess with the MSI P55 boards on release at the low price?? Any sign of a similar offering for help/assistance and some more information on card avaliability would be useful etc?

The irony is I was going to order the sapphire, but noticed the XFX had premium warranty with OcUK who I've had very good customer service with in the past, funny now that same customer service has lied to me and let me down.

I'll be more careful who gets my money in the future, which is a shame considering I've probably spent way over £5000 at OcUK over the years.
