Slighter slower than 580 according to these, but probably will not overclock anywhere near so far. No info given on resolution or settings.

Are they fake ^^

The 6950 slide seems unprofessionally finished.

I think 15% is bang on the average that the 580 beats the 480 at higher resolutions. However, as I said in my post above, that slide is using some older games which AMD are better at. So, with more newer games thrown in the mix, I would agree the 6970 would be a bit slower.

thought I was going to have no PC to even consider one of these tonight .. got home to find we'd had a power cut, but half the lights in the house were on - half were off - TV was on (plasma) - but nothing else ... amp tried to turn on and flashed loads of random lights - PC was off ... got volt-meter out .... 128 V !!! - after 30 mins (at 128V !! - I turned everything off as soon as I realised) they finally turned off all power

PC still works, so does amp :)

bring on Wednesday :) I still have high hopes for AMDs release this week, I genuinely can't imagine it would be a lemon, if not surely they'd just delay it further

Most modern PSUs will accept 110-250v automatically a few still have 110/250 switch but most modern ones can take anything from 110 to 250 automatically and provide stable power to the PC. Tho if you had a brown out or similiar its likely there was a spike that dropped steady power to the PC long enough for it to power down.

doing some math

GTX 480 @ 850 MHZ is as good as GTX 580

GTX 480 @ 960MHZ make it on avg 10% faster then GTX 580 by taking 10% performance increasing in HD 6970 that make it 10% slower then GTX 580?

What I was trying to say lol its unlikely to have done damage to the PC unless you have an old PSU, can't say the same for other stuff tho.

why are the "note: see slide 4* for ..." texts on different heights on those two ?

and why is there a seemingly photoshopped chunk just below that on both images?

also , the red avg line is crooked....
They do look a bit iffy. "Relative Performance" also uses different font sizes and I doubt official PR documentation would be so poorly presented.

Agreed. The text on the y-axis also is almost outside the width of the frame. I can't find the official barts presentation to compare hehe.

Man why cant they just have official reviews a few weeks before launch. Stop all the speculating with only a few days until release. I thought id have a clearer idea on my next move by now but im actually more confused

compared to pretty known un-fake

all the text is on the same line on the proper one .

the only thing i can think of that would justify any of the recent leaked slides is if AMD deliberately make shoddy slides to make people think they are fake if they get leaked.

1 good reason could be keeping the buyer away from your challenger good product

imagine if this review have come 1 week back many ppl didn't even boughten of checking amd gpu rate and directly purchase GTX 580

bbs.expreview Looks like another BS site looking for hits. You have to log in to see images. And they have a grand total of 15 people viewing the site.
