**ATI RADEON 7800 SERIES NOW AVAILABLE!!**

Yeah plan on taking it to 1050/1200 then will leave it for a week or so then look to push past the ccc limit, i'm very happy with the temps so far my 5870 was hitting 70 run the heaven bench at stock!. Tomorrow i'll run it through an hour or two of BF3 and see how it handles that.

so far very impressed with ease of clocking it, and that it only hit 55 max while running the heaven bench and that on only 35% fan compared to the 5870 which had to run at 42% fan and temps in the mid to high 70's.

Also its smaller so less space so more air flow and one less cable as well, the proof will be when I get to do some gaming tomorrow night, will give it a good thrashing in BF3.

BF3 runs a treat on these 7850's.

Had a good couple of hours last night running 1050/1450, 1080p everything on Ultra, High Post Processing AA and I was sitting at 60fps (Vsync'd) most of the time, few blips into the high 50's, and very rarely 45's when some colossal explosion goes off right in your face.

That was on a full 64 player server on Caspian Border and Kharg Island.

The entire time it felt very smooth, never felt like it was getting bogged down. I was suprised that the memory usage was only around 1.25GB, with people claiming BF3 needed 2GB cards to pull off Ultra... I guess if you used normal MSAA instead of FXAA, but I don't know why you'd want to do that when the FXAA looks just as good imho and has considerably less impact on your FPS! But maybe that's just me.

Eitherway it's a big improvement of the 560Ti I had, I couldn't turn Ultra everything on with the 560Ti without it slowing down, I had to run a mix of High and Ultra to get smooth FPS. The 7850 on the other hand handles Ultra fine.

These cards do look good performance wise. After a few months and a price drop I think these will be the new £/performance card to have.

A bit like the 7000 series's 6950.

The 7870 comfortably outperforms my 5870, and in some game it makes my 5870 look rather silly.

As of yet tho, these are still way to expensive.

These cards are good, but priced too close to the 7950, making it worth while to spend that little bit extra for the 7950.
